Vehicle Detail
It's time to move on and anyone that knows about buying antique cars or hot rods knows that there is way more money in this old wagon than I am asking but that's the name of the game. Our family has had fun with this wagon over the years but my kids are older now and there are more things to do than go to hot rod shows as my kids have gotten older. I do not have any time right now to do anything with the car. One note, each door as pinstripe on it in small letters. Drivers side and passenger side say dad and mom and each door in the rear has my kids names. This could be removed or turned into something else. Selling as is not even shined up right now. If it does not sell I will make repairs clean it up and relist it but at a much higher rate. So what you have here is really rare complete 1969 Dodge Coronet Wagon with the original 318 in it. It has a Fast Electronic Fuel Injection system on it, an aluminium radiator, all new hoses, AC system added, new interior controls, custom upholstering, new tires, sound deadening, headliner, paint, custom wheels and more. The whole car was taken apart about 5 years ago and redone basically. This a a duel swing back rear door (swings down and out)that still works and so does the power window. Now here is the old car part... It's been sitting for a year or so now. the door seals are not working properly in the front doors so I have a tarp over the front. Yes I run it around the block every so often but now the freeze plug is no good and radiator fluid runs out of it, plus it now needs tuned up and runs rough. Starts up good with a fresh battery though. The paint is good and will clean up good but it's not 100% show perfect and this was never intended to be that type of hot rod. You will find some flaws in the paint. We used this for fun so it has some wear from that point of view. The interior looks good, but the carpet that is not all that old has faded funny in spots. Seats, headliner and wood interior trim are in good shape though. I don't want this thing to just sit here and and fall apart there is like $25k in this thing. I would rather see someone clean it up, fix it up and have fun with it. Clean title. I am starting it out with a really low reserve. Yes you could drive it home if it was cool out, but with fluid not staying in the car I would not chance it. Plan on having it towed at this point. If it does not sell I will make repairs clean it up and relist it but at a much higher rate. Note: Mileage is an estimate. I believe it to be between 90k and 115k. I am the 3rd owner, however I know the history on the car and I know the original owner who passed away a number of years ago. He used the car as a traveling salesman for a toner and printer company. On Mar-05-16 at 18:47:16 PST, seller added the following information: I was asked about the wheels. The wheels are Police Rally Vintiques and they here powder-coated rally orange. That's NOT just paint on them. It took 6 months to get them. I was also asked about the exhaust. I took another picture, you can see there is dual exhaust and it's stainless steel, again it cost a bunch of money. On Mar-05-16 at 19:05:10 PST, seller added the following information: More questions answered. I am posting my answers. Yes, It's a 12 volt system Yes, It's a FAST fuel injection system and it does come with the handheld programmer The headlights are actually LED AllPar replacements lights they look great at night compared to the terrible OEM lights No, I do not have the original trim that went along the side of the doors. You might be able to find that again for the doors easy enough, however the two rear pieces in the back are extremely hard to find since this is a wagon model and those are stainless pieces that easily dented back in the 60's and 70's. yes it has a new headliner and it has two dome lights that are LED now. Yes, the glovebox works however the interior box portion is removed. It was only cardboard from years ago, plus when we routed the new AC/Heat vents we needed some more room. You could just put a new box in there. I never really used it much. It has AC. It's a VintageAir system again bunch of money. I insisted we use existing holes when we put the AC and not chop up the dash so there is a custom lower dash piece for the vents and we used the OEM radio hole also. We did not put a radio back in it but there is a custom center console I am including that has plumbing for a radio system but I opted not to use it. Yes, the dash lights work great Yes, the windows where professionally tinted, not a lot just some Yes, back seat is original but ripped down the the frames and redone. the front seats are out of a 2003 Pontiac Vibe. The front passenger seat actually folds all the way flat forward. On Mar-06-16 at 09:37:15 PST, seller added the following information: I was asked if the engine ran. Here is a quick video of the engine running. I just took the video 45 minutes ago. did nothing but put a charged battery in and it started on the 3rd try. as you can see it runs good, timing is off some and it misses every so often. Engine running link is at sendvid.com/29sfpuxv
