1977/78 Porsche 911 Targa Title reads 1978 Engine is a 3.0L I recently traded this Porsche for a 1970 nova I was selling. I was told the car was a 1978 and the title says 1978. After some research I think the car is a 1977 that was sold in 1978. According to a Porsche forum the fourth digit of the vin is the rear of the car. The vin has a 7 as the fourth digit but as stated the title read 1978. Vin plate on the dash, body plate in the trunk area and the pIate under the carpet all match. don't think it's an issue just wanted to be clear. The motor is a 3.0L which is decoded by the block with the serial number starting as 930xxxxx see photo. The car has 167,000 miles and runs great. Trans shifts great with no issue's. Newer tires and new windshield installed last week. 1 repaint in the original guards red paint. The tan cork colored interior is in good shape but both front seats has seem separation. Dash is excellent. Mobil 1 oil change. Great driver quality Porsche at an affordable price! $500 deposit due at action end.There are over 60 photo's below. Click on any photo to see more!
