Vehicle Detail
Hello, For your consideration is this beautiful 1966 Cadillac Deville Convertible. Powered by the 429 Cu. In. 325 HP V8 engine that runs very well. The automatic transmission shifts as it should. The complete drive train is very solid, the car runs and drives great. The brakes and suspension are in good working order. The car goes straight and stops straight. The exterior looks good with only minor scuffs & scratches, the body panels are straight, the chrome is in good condition, and the power top looks good. It comes with a blue parade boot. The top operates flawlessly. The interior is in great shape, all the gauges are in good working condition. The A/C works and the heat works. The radio is a Custom Sound Stereo replacement, but I have the original radio that goes with the car. The seats and carpet are in great shape as well as the door panels. The power windows as well as the power seat adjuster work as they should . The turn signal indicator lights are located in the front fenders and are in good working condition. All the glass in the car as well as the plastic rear window are nice and clear. The tires are new. The car's odometer and Ohio title show 40,200 actual miles. I can not confirm this, it may very well be true. The following are the flaws that are known. The choke on the carburetor tends to open too soon when the engine is cold. The automatic climate control doesn't work as it should. I think the water shut off valve is not functioning. The heat works when the water flows through the heater core and the A/C works when the water is shut off from the heater core. Water flow can be adjusted manually at the valve. The power antenna does go up automatically A separate toggle switch was added to make it function. I think it's because of the aftermarket radio. The car has a very minor transmission leak. This is common with older classics that don't get driven much. That's about it. I would drive this car anywhere. It's a great classic that gets a lot of attention and will win its share of trophies at the local car shows and cruise ins and will turn heads at the traffic lights. Convertible season is right around the corner. This is a very affordable fun car that you can drive and enjoy.
