UPDATE: Sorry for this late update....I was trying make sure I had answers to all the emails I have received. I thought I could list the baja with no issues while my husband and sons were gone this weekend....however, I didn’t realize there was more information I should have had before listing. (I was just trying to get things off my To Do List.) But I think I can answer all the questions I have received now. The car does run. It starts easily...and runs like a bat out of hell. There is some grinding/rubbing coming from the rear near tires...but is driveable. The carbs may need adjusting....but car doesn’t seem to have issues with timing. We have the open title from the last owners because we never intended to use on highway. Both air cleaners are on the car. (I thought the photo I had of car would work for the listing....but they are both in place.) The reason we recommend transporting the car is because it is not registered/inspected for highway use and the rubbing I mentioned above....but, not because of any specific engine or transmission issues. Still trying to make sure I have more of specific details for the 1972 VW before I list....so please watch for that one as well. ThanksJamie This listing is for a 1969 VW Baja.
