The truck was 100% tear down. Shell was painted professionally by a proshop in a two tone blue on gray. There is a chip approximately 2inches in diameter on the hood. The door handles were shaved and the bed was powder coated. It has front and rear airbags and the tanks were affixed to the chasis to avoid cutting or using space in the bed. The interior was completely redone using the original specs with upgraded to power windows, remote door poplocks, Alpine indash radio, custom steering wheel and shifter, door panels , carpet, dashboard, windshield and rearview mirror all redone. Engine and transmission came from a 1998 Chevy Suburban with a 5.7 liter Vortec that was rebuilt and upgraded with cams, headers and other features. The brake system was upgraded and replaced also. It has 20" chrome rims and low profile tires that are at 80% or better. The truck has only been driven 2100 miles since restoration. On January 3, 2015, my brother raced the truck without precheck and blew the left head gasket as a result of a faulty hose. The truck still runs and drives and is started at least once every 3 months or so. It is collecting dust in my garage due to my lack of further interest in it. I have vested over $25k in the project.
