Vehicle Detail
1955 Chevrolet 210 Sport Coupe Hardtop, very rare one of 11,675 produced. Painted original colors of Glacier Blue and Shoreline Beige. Much of the chrome has been replaced with Danchuck reproduction pieces. Engine is a 283 with Edelbrock Performer Air-Gap intake and Performer carb with aftermarket electronic distributor. The transmission is an aluminium case Muncie 4 speed. Gages, tachometer, new fuel tank with new pickup/sending unit. Wired for internal regulator alternator. Electric fan with temp sensor w/ LED on gage panel that indicates when the fan is running. This is a project that I have been tinkering with for many years and have gotten bored with it, so I need to find a new home for my baby. This is an original V8 car. It does have a headliner and all of the interior. The engine that is in it was rebuilt about 30 years ago by me when I was going to school to be a mechanic, I put about 500 miles on it in a different car. I pulled the engine out of the car that it was in and it was sitting on a crate until I dropped it into the '55'. Since it has been in this car I have only really driven it around the neighborhood a few times a year since I got it running about 6 years ago. With that in mind, I think the engine is in good shape, but can't promise it does not use oil since it has so few miles on it since I put it back into service. It drives OK, but it needs a brake job cuz it does not stop too quickly. There is some bondo, not much though.
