Vehicle Detail

Okay, let's try this again. My first "buyer" was from CA, with a 0 feedback rating, has not contacted me or left a deposit, and does not respond to e-mails. Hmmm... Please folks, don't mash the "buy now" or "make offer" buttons unless you intend to complete the sale. I encourage you to ask any questions you may have about the car, and come see it if you can. If you're satisfied with the answer, make me an offer. 1994 Mustang Convertible, Teal over White leather. The Good: 1 owner Straight body, never in an accident A/C blows cold, heater works Mach 460 system with added 10 CD changer All service records in the form of a journal I kept - I service it myself for the most part Original clutch still strong Engine has never used oil 4 wheel disk brakes, serviced in the recent past Clear title Tires replaced last year; maybe 6,000 miles on them Original Teal paint in good shape except as noted below The Bad: Top needs replacement - no rips or tears but it does leak through stitching Clear coat failing in one patch above the left rear wheel (see pictures) Driver seat in poor condition with torn leather, needs professional help Passenger seat in decent shape but should be re dyed And the biggie, engine misfiring on one cylinder - read more below Okay, Re: the engine. It was my daily driver and ran well up until a couple of weeks ago when it started misfiring. I have replaced the plugs, wires, coil and fuel pressure regulator to no effect, and now it's blowing white smoke from the tailpipe. Uh oh, I fear this is a head gasket failure. I replaced the head gaskets in early 2007 (at 107,000 miles) with genuine Ford multi layer steel ones and did the valves at that time. I'm not keen to do the head gaskets again, so it's time to say goodbye. I would call this a project car or a mechanic's special. It's really too nice to junk, though that's what will happen if it doesn't sell in a reasonable time. Can you drive it home? Yes, if you're not going too far. It hasn't shown any tendency to overheat, yet. I would keep a very close eye on it. Local pickup only, I will not ship. Please message me if you're outside the Central NJ, Eastern PA area so we can discuss pickup. Car is for sale locally; I reserve the right to end this listing early if it sells.
