This is for a Pretty solid,unmolested old 1948 Chevy 3100 pick up with REAL 68 year old Patina.This is a local southern truck,that has been in a shed for the last 30+ years.I have posted 24 photos,please take time to look at all of them.It is all here and ready for a new life.The body is very straight and all complete.It has some rust in the normal spots, but not real bad and it is all STEEL.I don't even see any bondo anywhere.All panels that have some rust are available online.The doors open and shut good,no sag.The bed is straight and the tailgate is still in good shape.The running boards are solid and you can jump up and down on them.The splash aprons are good.Doors have some rust at the bottoms,mainly the drivers side.Rockers look very good.Some cab corner rust and some floor board rust but all body mounts look good.The cab is way better than most,I have seen lately.The roof is very straight as is the hood and tops of all 4 fenders.All 4 fenders are in very good shape and are very solid.The truck was originally black so some spots that may look like rust are actually not,they are just the old blue paint peeling and showing the black paint underneath.If you have a specific area you would like to know about,just email me thru ebay and we will discuss it.All glass is intact,but some is cracked and fogged.The steering is still very tight.I believe the miles are probably right but I have NO way to prove it.The frame is solid with no rust thru anywhere.It has heavy duty rear springs(see Photos)The motor is clean and dry and the radiator is still holding antifreeze. The oil is fairly clean, but motor seems to be stuck from sitting.I am sure some soaking with marvel mystery oil would help get her turning again.The clutch seems to work and it shifts thru all gears.The e brake seems to work and the truck rolls and steers fine for loading.The truck appears to have been converted to 12 volt at one time. These trucks are getting hard to find,especially still in mostly original shape.I am letting you, the ebay buyers, decide the value on it.It will be sold with true NO reserve with starting bid at 1.00.The last bidder will own it,only on ebay. The truck will come with a notarized bill of sale.Alabama does NOT and will NOT issue a title on any vehicle over 35 years old.I have sold a lot of cars and trucks and this has never been a issue or a problem.Please take time to look thru my feedback as a seller. This truck is a 3100 1/2 ton series. It has 6 lug wheels . The 3600 Badge on the hood is wrong,I assume. Also most of the dark spots on the truck in the photos are either surface rust or the original black paint showing thru where the blue paint has pealed.The fenders are solid.The doors have some rust at the bottoms on the inside,mainly the drivers door.The windows roll up and down easily.The running boards are also very solid with only a few very small spots of rust.The aprons are very solid.The cab has some rust in the flat floor and the cab corners.The drivers side cab corner is the worst.The floor under the seat looks fine from under the truck as do the drop offs.There is NO rust around the windows or the cowl.See The photos of up close.I am sure there are a few small spots of rust in other spots,here and there, but nothing bad.I do not see any evidence of any bondo/filler work. The truck seems to be a honest ole pick up and it doesn't appear anything is hidden. I hope this helps,but if you have any more questions just let me know.
