Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Limited Production – VERY RARE color combo with almost EVERY OPTION - 1 OWNERA True Exotic that will appreciate at an affordable price!BUT MOST IMPORTANT YOU WILL NEVER HAVE A CRAZY REPAIR BILL BECAUSE... When I bought this car new I purchased a LIFETIME/UNLIMITED MILEAGE Warranty from GEICO. Any Mechanical service (other than maintenance) is covered as long as the car is insured by GEICO (owner transferable) at ANY service center. THAT IS CORRECT, YOU CAN TAKE THIS CAR TO THE PORSCHE DEALER FOR ANY NEEDED SERVICE AND PAY A $250 DEDUCTIBLE.There is no other Porsche on eBay that you can own this cheap!! The average visit to the Porsche dealer is in the thousands. The new owner of this car will never have to worry about a multi-thousand dollar repair. The GEICO coverage is priceless and makes this car significantly more valuable than any other Porsche. This Porsche will be cheaper to maintain than an econobox! As a result of this warranty, this car is higher priced than book value, but the comfort of a relatively cost free ownership of a Porsche is invaluable. This car is one of the most rare of all Porsches ever produced. The color is Amazon Green Pearlescent (looks like different shades of blue from different angles) Gray Leather Interior, Black Cabriolet Top and almost every factory option, some of which are very rare on convertibles, including 17" Wheels with Gold Porsche Crests in the center, Limited Slip Differential, 6 speed manual transmission, AM/FM Cassette with 6 CD changer and 8 speaker Hi-Fi sound system, Full Power Drivers seat, Partial Power Passenger seat, Headlight Washers, and more. For the money, this has to be one of the best handling (50/50 front/back weight balance), beautiful, exclusive, and reliable sports cars in the world. In fact, when talking “bang for the buck”, this car is virtually impossible to beat! Not to mention, its value is now increasing. Chances are you will NOT find another car like this. The interior and exterior are in like new condition and is often mistaken for a new model. The car has never been in any type of accident. This car has never seen snow or rain. The car also has an impeccable Carfax and Autocheck score. I bought the car from the Porsche Dealer in E. Hartford CT in February 1994 and have owned the car for almost 22 years and I am very hesitant about selling this pristine example of automotive excellence. However, due to the fact that I have unexpected financial obligations and have used this car about 1,000 miles per year I have decided to let it go. I regret that I did not put 200,000 miles on this car as any engine, transmission, etc. repair would have been covered. There aren't many 968's with this low mileage and in this condition anymore! This car has been a great experience and wonderful to drive. On the road this car remains incredibly stable and responsive. The steering is sharp and cements what a driver's car this is really about. With approximately 240hp in a relatively light rear wheel drive vehicle, the car is certainly quick, but remains fuel efficient. The driving experience is nothing less than engaging, exactly what anyone would expect from a classic Porsche -- but better than a 911! The interior is in incredible shape -- many people think the car is new. This 968 was kept 100% stock -- including the radio and alloy wheels. The cassette tray/top release holder/arm rest, which is broken in almost every 968 is in perfect condition. During my ownership, this car has been garaged and maintained regularly by the local Porsche Dealer. What I have had to fix I would consider very minor considering the car's age. Along with a couple of relay replacements, I've recently (about two years ago) had a major service done on the car that included the timing belt, water pump, and thermostat, so that has already been taken care of, you will be set for at least 15 years! The tires are 95% and stick to the road like glue, the tread pattern even looks great. They recently cost me $800+.This is a great car in really amazing shape, but I want to tell all potential buyers understand what is not perfect about the car. There are some very minor nicks and rock chips as this is a nearly 22 year old car. There is a touch-up on there rear bumper when a bicycle rubbed against the car and a mark on the passenger real wheel when I misjudged an exit ramp curve 20 years ago. The car drives very smoothly and everything works as it should. This car has never been run hard. Given the low mileage, wonderful condition (mechanical and material), and GEICO warranty, this car has a long life ahead of it to be enjoyed by the new owner. There are few 968s on the road in this kind of condition. This is a fun and exclusive ride backed by the heritage of the Porsche name. Unlike the 944, the 968 was built in the Porsche factory in Zuffenhausen. It is a real Porsche like the 911. This has been a fantastic car to own. It's a real shame to part with the car, but I now need the money for other priorities. Needless to say, I have the original keys, books, paperwork, etc. I am also including the valuable and fully updated Factory Service Manuals. This is a great opportunity to purchase a future classic at what may be the lowest point of the 968's depreciation. This car is an EXTREME attention getter. Do not bid on this car if you do not want to be noticed. Over the last 38 years that I have been driving sports cars, I have owned several performance automobiles. All of these cars were great in their own right. Yet, I have NEVER been in, let alone OWNED, a car that has received so much positive attention from people of all ages. I cannot even leave my neighborhood without someone giving me a thumbs up or stopping me to ask what kind of a Porsche it is. In fact, most people who see this car think it is a brand “new” model. When I tell them that it is a 1993, nobody can believe it!Although the car is available for inspection prior to the close of the auction, I also intend to advertise and reserve the right to sell the car locally. I do not expect it to be on the market for very long. I am selling it without RESERVE --- if you wait to bid, you may miss the opportunity to own this incredible car!!! Therefore, if you are serious about owning a great handling, fast, spectacular looking Porsche that needs NOTHING, comes complete with almost EVERY option and that is often mistaken for new, then you need to place your bid or call me now at (516) 306-9466. Thanks very much for taking the time to look through this listing. If there are any questions, please let me know.MaintenanceTiming Belt was changed about two years ago, Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 Extreme Performance Summer Tires were installed about 500 miles ago.
