US & AUSTRALIAN BIDDERS PLEASE NOTE; BECAUSE OF RECENT UPGRADED SECURITY REGULATIONS I CAN ONLY SHIP VEHICLES TO PERSONS IN THE US OR CANADA WHO ARE IN THE POSSESSION OF AN OFFICIAL PASSPORT.(AN ID-CARD OR DRIVERS-LICENSE ETC. ARE NOT GETTING ACCEPTED ANYMORE BY AUTHORITIES IN ORDER TO IDENTIFY A RECIPIENT). PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU’RE ABLE TO MEET WITH THIS REQUIREMENT BEFORE BIDDING, OR MAKE SURE YOU CAN HAVE SOMEONE IN LINE WITH A VALID US PASSPORT WHO IS WILLING TO HELP YOU OUT ON THIS. The French (Paris-based) company Mandille et Roux (MR) was a producer of motorcyclesthat was in business from 1926 to 1954. Next to a small range of models, they also produced special versions that competed succesfull at long-distance events of the time. Like the pictures are showing this rare 1937 motorcycle has many nice and original details which makes it a real pleasure to look at. Back in the days many bike manufacturers made the choice to fit an engine that came from a engine-manufacturer, where this motorcycle is equipped with a (German made) Sachs engine. These (bullet-proof) Sachs engines are well known because of their uncomplicated design and durability, where still by today parts for these units can easily be found and bought for fair money. The engine that is fitted is still the original one, which was specially made by Sachs for this motorcycle, as the engine-id.plate is in French language and matches with the frame-number of the motorcycle. It starts instantly and runs ok, the gearbox is shifting fine, the paint is after almost 80 years not nice and showing age and patina. All the panel-work (fenders, gas-tank etc.) are solid with having a couple of dings and surface rust. Something else very interesting is that the original Fichtel & Sachs tools are still with the bike, together with the leather tool-bag that can be put on the luggage-carrier (see images). This machine has never been road-registered and comes with an official European certificate of origin which states the make, model, year, displacement, weight etc. and an official bill of sale from my company here in Belgium. Furthermore I’ll make sure that all the correct export-paperwork will be in place before the bike leaves from here, which documents will make the process of importing it into the US an easy ride. -On this listing I’m offering a special (fully sealed) motorcycle crate, careful packing and physical shipping from here in Belgium to a US CFS-depot as close as possible to you at my expense, meaning that I will pay for having the bike crated and all handling etc. at my end plus the ocean-freight charge, where you are responsible for all charges at your end, like ISF filing, entry fees, port-handling, eventually broker fees etc.If you want any additional information about this, please ask before you place a bid. Furthermore, when you want to receive some better photo's of the bike/shipping, or want to recieve more information about this item, just let me know. I accept PayPal payments. -Additional information to this listing; Like can be seen, the bike has after 78 years MANY traces of use and age (patina). I only offer shipping by sea, where of course we can advise you on forehand about the process of importing the machine into your country. Like can be read in the link, this antique bike is because of its age and displacement exempt from US import-duty and EPA regulations; https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/278/~/importing-classic-or-antique-vehicles-%2F-cars-for-personal-use The crate will safely sail in a sealed container and the shipment is fully insured for eventual damage/lossI always pack bikes myself, only use certified crates plus new packing-materials and deliver the crated machines in person at the Antwerp warehouse of the shipping-company (see images) Furthermore I pay for having every shipment insured against damage or loss during the complete process of handling and sailing. Of course I will inform you about the complete process of shipping and provide you all the information you need from the beginning on and send you pictures of the process of packing and actual delivery at the Antwerp port as soon as these processes are completed.
