Vehicle Detail
1960 Buick LsSabre Convertible probably one of the most desirable cars being restored and fixed up in the last few yrs, and one of the best yr looking Buicks ever made.. this is one car I really hate to sell. But if we do we do. Chances of finding another one for around this price.. slim to none. BRIEF DESCRIPTION: 13,588 ever built over 50 yrs ago. here is an un-restored survivor. How many are left on the streets ? less then 1000 maybe ? hard to say. The car sat here in Az for many yrs, still showing about 69k on the clock And the title shows Box A original miles. To get it back on the road some work has been done to the brakes, radiator, cleaned fuel tank and lines. Professionally rebuilt carb, new fuel pump as well. The front seal for of the trans was leaking, so while it was out we had it rebuilt. Receipts for all the parts come with the car done in the last yr or so. Its really fun to drive just the way it is, I take it up to the store about once a week. It gets attention whenever I take it out. Its a FUN beautiful car as is in my eyes and has alot of potential for whatever your plans would be. DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND, apparently some people who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules. So if you have under 10 feedbacks, Ill be emailing you if you bid to make sure you are legit, if we do please reply or we will cancel your bid. Up for Auction: LOW FAIR RESERVE !!! These cars are getting harder to find esp in this condition that are still affordable to most buyers. DRIVETRAIN: this car has its factory V8 with again a rebuilt carb. Optional PS works well. It starts and runs great for me all the time. Motor sounds good and runs smooth. Auto trans, freshly rebuilt. Tires are a bit old but okay for around town. Heater system was just gone thru too with a new core and rebuilt control valve. If the car sits for a few days the battery goes low, so not sure if it has a small drain or if its just an old battery. INTERIOR: take a look at the pics, the interior of this car is pretty well worn out and probably the first thing you would want to repair. It seems very complete and the chrome isnt too bad of shape. The chome inside is in really nice shape and there is alot there. Floors seem very solid, when you look at the pics from under the car, it did get some rust. So some metal work there will be needed, but still far less then most of these cars that are not restored. Seeing as this car has been in AZ for most of its life, it has less rust then most 50 yrs old cars, and less rot. Trunk got some rust too, mostly from the inside / out, but again its all fixable . Speedo has the cool tilt feature for different drivers. EXTERIOR: the body and paint on this car looks to be original with a few touch up spots done over the yrs, but I really dont see any signs of previous accidents or bondo. Some mild rust in a few parts of the body, check out ALL the large clear pics below. The convertible top can be put up and down manually right now. I just leave it down. Front windshield and side glass all in good shape. It needs a new convertible top vinyl, and it would be a good time to put a glass window in the back when you replace it in the future if the car sells. Front and rear lights all working as do the blinkers too, making it okay to drive at nite the way it is. With the patina like it is, most buyers would leave it and drive it. OR they would restore the hell out of it ! or RESTO MOD the heck out of it !! SUSPENSION: the suspension feels like a big tuna boat, but really it still rides like a big ol Buick, and the tires are in decent shape too. No weird noises coming from the car while gliding down the road, but Im sure its going to need some bushings replaced in the near future because its not restored and of its age. At least for now, you can still hop in and drive it around town. Lots of brake work done within the last yr too. Check out ALL the pics below -----> it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra scroll bar on the right side. Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate. more info AFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics. There you have it, probably The BEST represented BUICKS on Ebay. Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you appreciate them. We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows. People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end. Having as much as the original steel on a restored car these days speaks volumes. This is NOT OUR MOST RUST FREE CAR we have sold over the years, but its still better then most out there for sale or bondo-ed up to look restored. I DONT KNOW WHATS UNDER THIS OLD PAINT JOB, and it may have had some repair work done yrs ago, its just too hard to tell. I can tell you though, if you look down the sides of this car on both Sides, I dont see tons of waves running down the body like some cars there are a few bubbles starting near the rocker areas though. So expect some rust on the car during repaint and some repairs over the yrs. Its still so clean, If the car doesnt sell, Im okay with that too because Id love to keep it its that nice. Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what sort of surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating. People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers. Email us with ANY questions before you bid please Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. We show you as much feasibly possible via pics. Dont let auctions with little to no pics try to fool you. If they cant take the time to take pics of areas under the car they are selling, maybe its not the best car to buy long distance. With other auctions, you really dont know what to expect until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER with great pics to help making your decision easier. Along with ANY other questions you may have. Email me for a quote for shipping. ARIZONA TITLE IN HAND Keep in mind, this is not a restored car !! CAR MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 14 days of auctions END ! we can no longer store cars for anyone !! Unless other arrangements have been made before auction ends. Can help with shipping outside the USA too if you need help. But keep in mind, the car cant ship until you get your title from us in hand. This car, you can see clearly what to expect with no surprises and our Feedback speaks for itself ! EMAIL US WITH ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE !! Car will obviously ship as an INOP. IF you need a shipping quote, just email us with your city/state and Ill find out our best quote for you !! No problem helping it to the docks if you are shipping overseas . If you have to wait for the title to ship your car, it still needs to be paid for and shipped from our holding lot as mentioned in the ad. When we get the title for it, we will fedex it to you. If there is a winner, please email me when the auction ends and say Hi and we can take it from there. Bank Wires need to be prompt if you are out of the country because they always seem to take longer then expected. I bank with B of A which makes things easy for many out of state for payment. direct deposit or Cashier checks If you wire the funds we must add a $50 fee that our bank charges us. must clear before car can move. Its a sign of the times, sorry. IF RESERVES NOT MET, email us anyway maybe we can work out a deal after it ends. NO PAYPAL unless its just a $500 deposit only - rest direct bank deposit or wire Must be paid within 5 days of auction On Nov-28-15 at 00:38:42 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE 11-28 I added some more pics tonite I took the other day. The floorboards may not be as clean as I was thinking, and although they feel firm when stepping on them, from underneath they look to be worse then I thought. They are available new at least so depending on what you want to do with the car if you win it, it may need new floors. Also of all things I noticed the water was low today while moving the car around the driveway, and it looks like the waterpump is leaking. Its not pouring out, but the seal is leaking. So before it gets put back on the road for long long trips, the water pump will need to be rebuilt. Also , last thing, the old bias ply tires are more dry rot then when I checked them last Spring. Granted, sure they will be replaced right away anyways if the car gets a new owner, But I still wanted to mention it now and the other things so there are no surprises if the car sells.
