This Mustang was manufactured in 1967 at the Mechum New Jersey Ford plant. It was sold to the second owner in 1982 with 175,000 miles on it and arrived in Sonoma, California at which time the proud new owner spent thousands over the next several years bringing the car to a beautiful complete on frame restoration. The paint and body is in excellent condition no signs of rust, solid floorboard, rocker panels, trunk all original and straight. Over 100 service records documenting repairs for engine, body, paint, suspension, interior as well as service and parts. Reading all the documents, you will see the time and money put into this Mustang. The outside bezels and chrome are in excellent condition and the interior brand new. The car runs great. Please look down on the pictures for additional comments. ALL NEW BUMBERS REAR AND FRONT New electric convertible top in excellent condition. No sign of discoloring or tears. Rear backup tail light bezels are original. I am including new reproduction ones you can install if you like. Original gas cap. Included is 1- Convertible vinyl cover boot, Reverse light bezels, Mustang letters for rear deck lid ( was never reinstalled ) , spare tire jack included. In 1980 a new gas tank was installed. According to service records, it seems this may be the original engine, however we do not know how to identify if it is numbers matching. If we take into consideration it was sold to California with 175,000 original miles, and the second owner spent several years restoring the Mustang, then the engine may be original which is important to you numbers matching enthusiasts. Records show new starter, radiator, cables and regulator. Vin indicates this is the optional 200 horsepower 289 engine. Horsepower increased due to added autolight electronic ignition, 4 bbl demon carb and edelbrock intake. Suspension rebuilt with a front and rear lowering spring kit. Front disk brake conversion kit installed. Dual exhaust with flow master mufflers The interior has been redone. The floor pans are solid with no rust. Back seat is original. Door quarter panel left and right all new Classic Sears air conditioning. Works excellent blows cold. New sound system installed. Front custom kick panel speakers. 4- 5 1/4 all around. Amp and sub woofer in trunk great sound. New door panels, kick panels, dash pad, visors, carpet. New convertible top and seals. The steering wheel is not original, however, it may be a real cobra wheel. Not sure. Electrical turn signal lights, head lights, high beams, brake lights all work Original paint color as seen in the photo below was Ford candy apple red. New color is an amazing 1990 Jaguar Burgundy. 4 new American racing 17x8 wheels with BF Goodrich G4 sport front 215 40r17 back 235 40r17 Disclaimer: Expect normal signs of road wear.
