The Cameo Carrier was Detroit's first truly stylish pickup. The molded fiber glass panels were attached to the bed and tailgate creating a beautiful new look for pickups. There were additional unique features such as the spare tire holder hidden by the drop down rear bumper and additional chrome added which gave the package a dressy look never before seen on a workhorse pickup. The 1957 model represents the pinnacle of Cameo design from the beautiful front grill to the wide painted strips down the bed panels with chrome outline & the name "Cameo" inserted.Extremely collectible, desirable & rare with only 2244 built in 1957. (Cameo's were built 1955-1958)My Cameo comes in two-tone combination of Indian Turquoise & Bambay Ivory which is an original Cameo color. It has been nicely restored. Mechanically sound with the original 6 cylinder engine connected to the manual three speed transmission with shifter on the column. A split manifold has been added with dual exhaust and steel pack mufflers that produce a nice sound. Additional accessories added: Attractive oak bed with stainless steel metal strips, outside door handle guards, vent door shades painted ivory, chrome door mirrors, matching color seat belts, and front bumper guards. Exterior professionally painted to exact Cameo specifications with the inside bed, door post & around rear window painted Ivory. Retrosound AM/FM radio.All new interior. Matching turquoise/ivory seat, door panels, arm rests and head liner. Turquoise carpet. Interior also painted to match exterior. Dual speakers are located in kick panels. The photo's give an accurate representation of the work accomplished on the pickup so please study them. I have owned the pickup a little over two years with most of the time spent on the restoration. Have a complete folder of all receipts for parts and labor.
