Vehicle Detail
This is a 1946 Ford Club Coupe, and it has the potential to make a really great looking street rod. The body has quite a bit of surface rust, and as you can see from the pictures it has extensive rust in the rocker panel areas as well as the grill shell areas. All of these sheet metal components are readily available from a variety of sources. There are also some small rust through areas in the lower part of the main body. The glass all needs to be replaced due to either breakage or extensive fogging due to age, with the exception of the rear glass which is in really good condition. The car has the original flathead V-8 engine, and original 3 speed transmission, as well as the radiator, but is not in running condition. The interior has the original radio, heater, steering wheel and horn button. I have a clear North Carolina title. Also included is an extra floor pan (pictured), as well as some other parts I have acquired over time: two headlight rings, two taillight lenses with frames, a better original hood ornament, as well as a NOS torpedo style hood ornament made in the 1950s, still in the box. All of these items are pictured. Also pictured in a box in the trunk of the car is a set of disc brake rotors and calipers from a 1965 Ford if you want to convert the original straight front axle over to disc brakes. The car will have to be picked up in Concord, NC within two weeks. You will be bidding on the car as well as the above mentioned parts. A deposit of $200 will be required at the close of bidding with the balance due when the car is picked up. I have tried to describe the condition of the car as clearly as possible, but if you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
