2010 Ford Flex with 227,000 miles , VEHICLE WILL NEED SOME FORM OF ENGINE REPAIR! It has a check engine lamp on and has a code P0012 for a Variable Valve timing fault,further inspection found oil looked contaminated with antifreeze.oil was changed and cooling fan module(fan and control assembly) and Thermostat was replaced. The car runs quiet and drives smoothly but at times the idle will stumble slightly and the check engine lamp comes back on with a code p0012 present for variable valve timing solenoid fault. The vehicle has 227,000 miles on it and the owner is not interested in venturing further and recently bought a replacement vehicle. The vehicle was used by a wine salesman and was always serviced with an open checkbook, always synthetic Mobil 1 at 5000 mile intervals which was every 2 or 3 months,The vehicle still runs and drives well,all systems are functioning and in good order. I have all service records available can be inspected at any time during the coming week. The vehicle is clean, seats were typically folded down for the most part and wear is minimal on the interior, body is clean with only a few scratches and dings ,minor crack on front cover that I photographed.
