Up for sale is a 1996 Impala SS four door sedan. First the negatives, engine runs great but recently has developed an oil leak. Possibly oil pan gasket or rear main seal. Heat works but engine runs so cool it does not get as warm as one would like. Drivers front seat has a small tear, carpet is dingy and worn by left foot area. Crack in windshield low, does not impare driving sight. Now the positives, TONS of power, transmission shifts properly, and gets suprisingly decent gas mileage. Drives smooth especially on the highway. Last year new ball joints, tie rod, exhaust system, water pump, and 2 new tires. Hankook tires all the way around. This year shocks and tune up. Black paint is still shiny and looks great, does have a small rust spot behind rear wheel at the bottom of the quarter panel. No dents but does have a few nicks and scratches. I have owned this impala for 2 years, it is still plated, insured and being driven 80 plus highway miles daily as I commute to work and home. I hate to sell, it is very reliable and has never left me stranded but I need a newer, smaller car. Please ask questions as I may have missed something. I prefer cash in hand. Car can be stored at my home for up to 2 weeks until pick up can be made providing it is paid for in full within 3 days of auction end. There is a reserve price, not very high.
