US AND CANADIAN BIDDERS PLEASE NOTE; BECAUSE OF RECENT UPGRADED SECURITY REGULATIONS I CAN ONLY SHIP VEHICLES TO PERSONS IN THE US OR CANADA WHO ARE IN THE POSSESSION OF AN OFFICIAL AND VALID PASSPORT.(AN ID-CARD OR DRIVERS-LICENSE ETC. ARE NOT GETTING ACCEPTED ANYMORE BY AUTHORITIES IN ORDER TO IDENTIFY A RECIPIENT). PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU’RE ABLE TO MEET WITH THIS REQUIREMENT BEFORE BIDDING, OR MAKE SURE YOU CAN HAVE SOMEONE IN LINE WITH A VALID US OR CANADIAN PASSPORT WHO IS WILLING TO HELP YOU OUT ON THIS. That the 'dawn of motoring' took place in France is a fact where not many people are familiar with. The company 'Monet & Goyon' was formed in 1917 by Joseph Monet and Adrien Goyon. It began manufacturing invalid carriages for disabled WW1 veterans. In 1920 they became agents for the British Autocycle company and then in 1922 produced their first motorcycle. During the 1920's they built an excellent reputation for sporty flat tank bikes such as the Z147 and Z175. Monet & Goyon had considerable racing success including winning the Bol D'or six times between 1927 and 1948. They produced a wide range of models until closure in 1959. The factory was in Macon one hour north of Lyon, France. This very refined 1937 'twin-port' S3 model is a motorcycle that is also in Europe hardly ever on offer. It has been part of an antique motorcycle-collection for many decades and was in good running and riding condition when put in storage in the mid-1980'sBack then the engine was treated with preservating oil, where over the years the engine was turned over several times a year. I haven't made any attempts to get it running, but as everything is in place and the engine has great compression, I don't think it'll take very much to get it going again.Furthermore, in case you want to bring it back to the road, the motorcycle needs to be checked through completely. On the pictures you only see the inner-tube on the rear-wheel, as the original rear-tire I have taken off as this was completely shot and falling off in pieces. I have ordered a correct new rear-tire & -inner tube (which will arrive here in the next days) and will of course put this on before the bike is getting shipped. This motorcycle has never been road-registered and comes with an official European Certificate of Origin plus an official bill of sale from my company here in Belgium. Furthermore I’ll make sure that all the correct export-paperwork will be in place before the bike leaves from here, which documents will make the process of importing it into the US an easy ride. -On this listing I’m offering a special (fully sealed) motorcycle crate, careful packing and physical shipping from here in Belgium to a US CFS as close as possible to you at my expense, meaning that I will pay for having the bike crated and all handling etc. plus the ocean-freight charge, where you are responsible for all charges at your (US) end, like entry fees, port, handling and eventually broker fees etc.If you want any additional information about this, please ask before you place a bid. Furthermore, when you want to receive some better photo's of the bike/shipping, or want to recieve more information about this item, just let me know. I accept PayPal payments. -Additional information to this listing; I only offer shipping by sea, where of course we can advise you on forehand about the process of importing the machine into your country. Like can be read in the link, this antique bike is because of its age and displacement exempt from US import-duty and EPA regulations; https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/278/~/importing-classic-or-antique-vehicles-%2F-cars-for-personal-use The crate will safely sail in a sealed container and the shipment is fully insured for eventual damage/loss.
