1968 Triumph Bonneville

1968 Triumph Bonneville, T 120 R. The engine and frame are matching numbers. This very desirable year for a Bonneville is a daily driver, not a show bike. It runs exceedingly well, starts on first or second kick. This bike would be a great candidate for full restoration, as it is so original. The fenders and paint are not original. The carbs were replaced with new Amal carbs about 5 years ago, and the bike runs very smoothly. The top end has been rebuilt. The bottom end was rebuilt about 35 years ago. The tires are about 5 years old, with very little wear, but have slight cracks since day, one when I bought them. But no problems. The exhaust system may be original, and one muffler had battery acid dumped on it, but still works ok. Currently the tach and speedometer are not working, and mileage is unknown. The engine, transmission, and primary oils were changed about 100 miles ago. The front fork oils need to be changed. I bought the bike in 1997. The bike was always garaged, well maintained, and never abused. The bike has been registered and ridden every year, but less than 1000 miles per year for the past 4 years. This 1968 Bonneville is not a show bike, but it is a very good example of a well maintained, and much enjoyed classic Triumph.
