It has been eight years since I purchased this original survivor 1950 Chevy 3100 pickup truck. The previous family owners had it since 1955 and many maintenance records are available. The current actual mileage is less than 60K miles. I have enjoyed tinkering with it and restoring it, without changing its originality and patina. The bed has a metal floor liner with rubber mat. There is minimal rust, paint scratches and a minor dents in front fender. My grandkids enjoy riding in it and it has been a lot of fun. It runs well and is dependable for local driving. I do occasionally drive it to my farm (100 miles round trip), without any problems. The following are highlights of the restoration to date: · Had all 5 wheels powder coated to prevent rust, mounted new tires · Installed new original style interior – seat, door panels, headliner, floor mat, etc. · New bumpers, brackets and other chrome items · Recently installed new clutch, pressure plate, & throw out bearing · All mechanically (brakes, battery, electrical, etc.) in great operating condition · Added factory heater (no heater or radio came originally) · Have not repainted the truck, only polished it – Love the patina!
