Being a rare coupe model (no removable tops), the structure and weight were set up for speed and handling. With only 62,500 miles, the LS1 is barely broken in, and the Hurst 6 speed is right on the money with its shifts. Check the picture with the RPO codes, you will see the WU8 (SS), and the Y2Y (SLP) which signify this vehicle as being a true factory SS car and not a clone. Having driven this car over the weekend, it seemed to attract a fair amount of attention due to the sound and those drivers checking their rearview to determine if it was some kind of supercar coming up on them ;). I hadn't driven one of these in the past and I was surprised by the fact that it handled much better than I anticipated. Going around corners in the previous generation Camaro could make you sea-sick, this car felt like it was planted comfortably in place at the apex of a corner. Great if you were to decide to use it as a daily driver! The only issue with this car, and all the others of this era, is the clear coat. It is starting to show signs of failure on the body in small spots, but the black roof is in need of attention if you are looking for a perfect car. This was a common problem across all GM vehicle in this era, and ours didn't escape the damage. Other than that, their are no dents, dings, scratches, rust or any other issue with the exterior.
