I purchased this FJ55 in 2003 from St. George Utah. It spent most of its life in the desert of Nevada. Since I have owned it, I have stored it inside of my garage. I don't even know where to begin with this vehicle. I purchased it before having children, and my goal was to have it as my daily driver. I drastically underestimated the amount of knowledge I would need in order to maintain a vehicle of this vintage. I quickly found out that I am just not the "tinkering" type. Sadly, I've barely driven the vehicle. Here is a list of things I did to improve the FJ55 while I owned it (from memory): upgrade to 1975 2F enginedisc brake upgrade up frontclutchnew professional upholstery new professional exterior paintNew exhaustNew BFG tires (33s from memory)New floor matsNew ceiling fabriccountless interior pieces found combing EbayNew door seals I really want to find this truck a new home that will really enjoy it. I am not a mechanic, so please be patient with me if you have technical questions. I used mechanics to do all of the above. Yes, it cost me a fortune. Rear power window still operates, however, you may need to put in a new fuse. There are a couple of rust spots in the bottom of the door. I can post these pics upon request.
