Vehicle Detail

1974 Alfa Romeo 2000 Veloce Spider Spica UP FOR AUCTION: I nice Italian beauty , owned by an older lady for aprox the last several years. Not driven much, she owned about 10 cars and this was driven a few thousand miles since early 2000s, while in the last 2 yrs was barely driven at all. LOW REALISTIC RESERVE !!! We are here to sell cars, not dream of getting some crazy price someone found as a "value" on the internet. Since taken out of storage I can tell you what has been replaced in the last month: Spica belt / fuel lines / air filters / Plugs and wires / clutch slave and some wires that where chewed on by pack rats where spliced back together under the hood and under the dash. Some under the dash possibly not 100% correct, RS blinker wont turn off / not sure if the wiring was fixed under the dash properly or why its stuck on, unless the blinker switch is bad and stuck in the R side blinker part. Headlights / dashlights and taillights all seem to function properly. Car starts all the time and Ive driven it around our block a few times and up to the local Quick Trip for gas and a drink. Body - great shape - no rot there / Interior - original and shows wears and tear Under the car the floors look pretty clean / only real area rust was found pass side front floorboard on the inside... HOW FAR YOU WANT TO RESTORE THE CAR IS UP TO THE BUYER. Make it just a daily driver with some basic repairs OR go full out and do a total restoration / driver OUR 100% feedback speaks for itself and many of our feedback are from about 15 cars we sold just this past year here on EBay. We put more time and effort into our ads making it much easier for the potential buyers to bid with confidence. Our auctions clearly show the most detail of what to expect Over any other auctions Ive seen online. Buy with confidence !! Arizona cars are time capsules half the time and the best kind to restore. We not only market our cars with some of the best pics on the web, but we also We do all we can to make the process smooth and simple for everyone involved. We dont come across these too often anymore, so bid to win ! DRIVETRAIN: best we can tell its all a matching #s car , and believe its the original motor / trans. Hit the key when its cold and after a few cranks it fires right up. Its a little rough for the first minute or so, but once it warms up after a few minutes the idle does smooth out and runs better. Its not 100% but almost good enough to be a daily driver. Im sure it still needs some work from sitting so long, Az has been hard on the rubber and plastic. Also once its been warmed up a few minutes, it actually starts up faster and easier during the day, on the first crank ! like its suppose to. CLUTCH and TRans feel good and shifts fine, and nothing bad to report out back on the rear diff. Its clean and dry too. Car scoots along pretty well for an older un restored car. The more I drive it around, the better it seems to run each time. I keep putting fresh gas in the tank, hoping soon all the older gas will be gone soon. INTERIOR: looks to be the original black vinyl, which is in acceptable for a daily driver. It does need work, but it all depends on how nice you really want it when its done. I did notice that the center console is loose. Manual works well but the top itself obviously is in pretty bad shape. Just drop it and no body knows better ! haha. It does come with a complete extra top and frame in not too bad of shape as a spare. SO even though this car has been in AZ for many yrs, somehow water got trapped under the pass side rubber floormat and must of been there for yrs. (yeah, in Az, thats pretty rare) but it happens. Because of that, the PASS SIDE Front floorboard got rust, some surface and a 1" or so hole near the LF corner. Nothing huge, but it needs to be mentioned. Tach works, Speedo might.. Not sure about rest of the factory gauges. Blinker stuck on R side, as mentioned earlier and the headlight / parking light switch seems to work normal. Not much behind the front seats seeing as this is a 2 seater, but any rust I saw was surface. Door panels okay, but showing their age. No carpet to speak of , I think it was an option :). There are some misc lights on the center part of the dash console area, I have no idea what they are for. Again, the console is loose like its been apart and not properly re installed. FRONT Windshield has a small star/chip near the bottom center, to me its not a big deal. Original spare wheel in the trunk with what looks to be all the original jack parts. AGAIN, as a daily driver Ive seen worse, Ive seen better. Fix some of the electronics and drive it, or go the extra mile and replace all the worn stuff..... up to you. SEE PICS. EXTERIOR: so the cars original color was an Ivory white. I believe it was repainted about 10 yrs ago if not longer. The new white is a brighter white then OE. Most of the car got shot, just a few places like under the hood and inside the trunk you can see bits of the original paint. I think with a little cleaning up of the paint, compounding and wax you could keep it as is for yrs to come. I dont see any signs of any previous bodywork or rust repairs, if its there they did a great job before shooting it. The chrome and stainless trim around the car are very presentable as is. For some reason the front Center ALFA Logo Grill is loose. This is the last yr for the small smooth streamline bumpers !! Convertible top is in need of replacing, rear window totally gone. Unlatch the front clips, drop it to the rear and problem solved ! haha jk. The frame and mechanism all seems to work well and function as it should. SUSPENSION: basically all stock the best I can tell. It may need bushings and misc repairs there, really wont know until you do closer inspection or start driving it more. As for now while driving it around the parking lot, I dont hear any giant clunks or sounds coming from the suspension and it feels pretty good. Tires also in not too bad of shape, while still wearing the factory alloy wheels. Buzzing this thing around the neighborhood behind our shop, it handles like Its on rails, I can really see why people love driving these cars. It wasnt the HP ratings.. it was the handling and mountain road driving with the top down. Brakes work and feel good, although the brake master reservoir under the hood is cracked and dryrot and leaks a bit, so that should be replaced asap. There is a NEW Slave Cylinder on the car for the clutch which was leaking. Check out ALL the pics below -----> If other auctions are not showing areas under their vehicles, who really knows what sort of shape its in. Dont find out the hard and $$ way. At least our auctions show as much as possible to potential buyers and bidders. it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra scroll bar on the right side. Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate. more info AFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics. Heres a great chance to buy an nice ALFA that you have been wanting.
