This is my 1989 K1500 that I have lost interest in and really just don't have time or a use for. Bought it about a year ago with a blown motor as something to play around with. I have since had a child and really just don't need it, my loss is your gain as I have more money in this truck than I am going to get out. Have over $6000 just in new parts not including what I paid for the lifted truck with blown motor. I have never drove it since I've been done with it except up the street and back. Less than 5 miles on the motor/trans, never seen mud since it's been back together. The Good: *6" Pro Comp suspension lift *3" body lift *16.5x10 American racing wheels with 90% tread 37x12.50 Goodyear MT/R military tires (truck will clear 40" tires) ($1000) *GM Performance parts L31-R Vortec 350 crate motor (4 bolt roller motor with heavy duty heads), Weiand street warrior manifold with edlebrock 600 cfm carb, summit racing HEI distributor, aeromotive fuel pressure regulator with return, AC Delco TPI in tank pump, LS-1 F-Body dual fans with BeCool automatic fan wiring kit, ebay headers, new direct fit y pipe, 3" exhaust with summit glass pack and a turn down before rear axle. (all parts including the motor are new except for the fans) (Over $4000 in motor and accessories) *Trans is a 700-r4 K case, completely rebuilt and bullet proofed with trans go shift kit, Heavy duty 1800 rpm stall converter, tv made easy kit from Bowtie Overdrives and large low pressure loss cooler. ($1800) *Borgeson heavy duty double ujoint steering shaft ($235) *Pioneer Bluetooth deck with Pioneer dash speakers, kicker 10" sub and amp, Pioneer 6x9's in boxes behind seat as well, loud enough to hear over the engine and hits pretty good. ($1000) *Rear end was gone through while engine and trans were out, new bearings, seals, drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, brake lines, G2 Diff cover ($850) *4.56 Gears front and rear, rear has a factory GM Limited Slip *Has the newer style front end on it with chrome grill and smoked lights as well as a steel cowl hood. *Engine bay and frame were painted with satin black epoxy paint while it was apart. *installed but not pictured, New ProComp shocks all the way around and new Moog problem solver heavy duty tie rod ends, idler arm and pitman arm. The bad: Needs an alignment (due to all new steering components) Paint is faded and will require a paint job. The truck is really straight for its age and has no rust anywhere. I did the bondo check with a magnet prior to buying and found no repairs. There are some small dings and dents but nothing major. No A/C. Truck is wired and plumbed for A/C, just needs to be installed. I never put it back in as it wasn't important to me but everything is still there and I have the compressor that goes with it. Could have the a/c back in it for around $500 Interior is decent for its age, no cracks in the dash but the seat needs a cover on it, glove box doesn't latch, door panels have some damage as shown in pictures. The good thing is you can get parts cheap from LMC Truck if you wanted to fix up the inside. The TBI computer and wiring are still in the truck so if you wanted to swap back to EFI it would be as simple as getting a TBI unit and some tuning for the Vortec motor. Runs great with the carb though. I have a trailer and can deliver, just would require a $500 deposit up front and would need to negotiate the delivery fee.
