I have a 2012 Golf R for sell. If you don't know, this is the auto TTS drivetrain in a Golf Body. so it has AWD, and the hotter motor with direct injection and a bigger turbo than the GTI and also has the larger brakes front he s4. it is one of the best all around cars I have ever owned. its fast, it handles great, gets decent mileage, and can haul about anything. the AWD makes it very surefooted, which would likely be great for the snow, although it has never seen snow since I live on the gulf coast. I got it with 5200 miles on it wrecked and fixed it. there was no structural damage, only cosmetic, and the body work was professionally done. It suffered a sideswipe, so the driver door, rear quarter, rocker, headlight, fender, seat bag, and curtain bag have all been replaced. the whole car was sprayed and cleared. it is currently my daily driver and has been hassle free for over 25k miles now. so just for full disclosure, here are all the nitpicks. 1 the driver door pocket has a crack in it. nobody will ever see it unless the door is open. everything functions fine. , this was leftover from the accident. I bought a replacement door card from a GTI but the trim is different, and its riveted in, so I just reused the R door car. The crack is not noticeable, its only seen with the door open. And it doesn’t affect anything functionally.2 slight gap in headliner above driver door where the curtain bag blew. not that noticeable unless pointed out.3 door ding on driver rear quarter, likely from kids in a mommy mobile at Wal-Mart. 4 and the front fender to bumper cover gap inst perfect. it’s not bad, but I'm OCD and I've tried to get it perfect and it just doesn't happen.5 the headlights, They are the kind that are supposed to move around in corners and hills. Well the lights work fine. They just aren’t moving around, so it triggers a light on the dash. I was hoping the VW place fixed that when they had it but they didn't. there is a bad sensor somewhere. I changed a couple trying to fix it, but it didn’t, so I was just throwing $ at it for no benefit. It’s not a real biggie to me, I’ve drove my whole life with headlights that don’t move around.6 there are a couple rock chips here and there. not real noticeable. that's just from use. The bumper cover has fresh paint so it looks great, but there is one chip I know of on the hood.7 oh the seat belts have been rebuilt. the passenger one sometimes will lock when not in use. so you hop in and grab it, it doesn't pan out. once you pull a little, ease it back, then ease it out, it feeds out fine. just kind of annoying sometimes when the passenger just wants to grab n go.8 the headlight mount tabs were broken, they were fixed with broken headlight tab repair kit that ECS sells. you can look it up. that are holding fine for over 20k miles now.9 the silver molding at the bottom of the door jamb (only seen when door is open). its missing from the driver side. if you really want it, its like $60 from ECS.10 washer bottle cap missing I think that's about it. most of that is nitpicky that will never be noticed.Roughly 7-8k in upgrades. add that a clean book value of ~ $25k and that brings it to ~ $32k+ equivalent car as is. Car is Located in the great metropolis of Hurley, MS. You never heard of that place? well its 17 miles from the Mobile, AL airport. It is a fun capable, yet practical car that someone will get a killer deal on. I just noticed, I didnt post hardly any interior pics.
