First off,I got this little car on trade and I am not a Toyota expert by no means.So please read the ad fully and contact me for questions and concerns. The car had been sitting for about a year.I put a new battery in it and it cranked right up.Has original Key and factory remote.It cranks right up and runs excellent,Very smooth and quiet with no smoke,no leaks or engine noises.The A/C is ice cold and everything works as it should.The factory stereo plays great.The interior is in good shape with no tears,just minor normal wear to the leather.The top is in good shape.I have all the books,including the owners manual.The body is very straight and rust free.The paint is descent with the exception of some clear coat peeling on the engine cover and a small ding on the passenger rear quarter and a cracked Passenger tail light.I might have a extra passenger tail light before the auction ends,but no promises. ***IMPORTANT**** The car has the RARE optional SMT auto stick style 5 speed trans.No lights are on and they do work.The trans goes into all gears and takes off like it is supposed to,but it acts like something in the differential that trying to catch or lock up the diff mainly at slow speeds.It doesn't make any grinding noise but it does try to lock the diff and I would be afraid to drive it any distance until the cause is determined,so it will need to be trailered.I have driven the car up and down the road in front of my house and it goes thru all 5 of the gears fine and reverse works fine also,but when you slow down in 1rst or 2nd it will try to lock the diff and sometimes make a popping noise.The up/down shift buttons on the steering wheel work fine also.I am sure someone that knows these cars can fix it pretty easily and have a fun car,for a cheap price. AGAIN, Due to the trans/diff issue, the car will have to be trailered.It will crank right up and drive onto a trailer with no problems.Let me know if you need it shipped.I have several co's I deal with and I will be glad to get you a quote,just send me your zip code through ebay messages.
