This car was in process of being restored but the owner unfortunately passed away. I am selling this car for the widow and owner of the car. The car is located in central Iowa in dry storage. This is a 1966 Lotus Cortina MKI that is a project car. This vehicle has all new bushing under the vehicle and the frame is solid and rust free. This vehicle was built in Britain in March of 1966. The motor has already been rebuilt and the body is in primer and close to being prepared for a repaint. There is no rot or rust on the vehicle and the vehicle is solid. The vehicle needs restoration in the interior for carpet, dash, headliner, door panels. There is some finishing on the hood (minor repair) and edges need to be finished. This is a partially completed project car that is not finished. Frame and Motor is done leaving trim, interior, weather stripping and paint.The car appears well maintained. No obvious leaks on top, below looks fairly dry. The engine has been maintained per owner and the engine has been rebuilt. The car starts, but I have not taken for a test drive as the engine sounds solid however does need carbs retuned.The title is clean, however, the title says the car is a 1964; the car is a 1966.We do have some other images but they are too large to upload on the ebay listing.
