This survivor was family owned until I got it this March. Was parked under the shelter in 1992. Since I’ve had it its also been under a shelter The previous owner paid to have 54 235 installed in the early 80’s Clean NC title in my name I rebuilt carburetor, replaced oil 2 times and filter 2 times, installed new fuel pump and HEI 12v distributor. Fired right up and it purrs Has a 12v generator. I have disconnected the main wires and just have the key switch to turn on/off run Runs and drives good Radiator leaks and I have a spare to put in it I rebuilt the brakes, wheel cylinders and master cylinder. Also has 3 new brake hoses and some new lines. Stops very well Emergency brake works well too Pressure washed and knocked off dust from 1992! I used a Scotch Brite on whole truck and a light spray clear satin I removed the seat and cleaned out the inside Rebuilt front springs and shackles with very good donor parts Steering and front suspension nice and tight I rebuilt a 51 about 3 years ago and it was in terrible condition compared to this Cab corners are very good compared to what I have seen The Driver side floor has some rust but is still very solid. The passenger front cab mount has a little more. I have had my fun with a couple previous 50 model Chevys and am moving on. I say this because I have many spare parts that go with this truck. “Cleaning out the barn”; Almost complete 54 235 engine, extra rear end, radiator… too much to list. It all goes with the truck.
