Vehicle Detail
True SS car with 327 motor. Car is ready for resto. Very little surface rust, worst part is at bottom of rear window. A few off the clips to hold on the trim have rusted off. runs and drives. Starts great. good transmission. Hagerty values these cars at $14,500 in fair condition. I believe they are a few grand high on the value. Known issues with car are 3 soft spots about 18 x 18 inches all on passenger side. Passenger floor board and right rear passenger floor board are the worst, will need replaced. Trunk has a spot that is getting soft too on right side of car. I got a quote from a shop for $1000.00 to fix the floorboards. Has a dent in rear quarter, most people don't even notice it until you tell them. One of those paintless dent repair places said about $450.00, but if you are going to resto this it will be done with body work anyway. Some of the gauges do not work. Missing original badges from front fenders and inner doors. Wiring under dash is a mess. Probably why the gauges don't work. Car is white with pink ghost flames. Interior is white and pink but dash is brown and carpet is red.I have lots of parts, spent $500 at the Chevy car swap meet bought original "better" badges, trim pieces, interior light covers, tail light lenses and tail light trim. Plus new mirrors.I have a dash panel for the car I bought off Ebay for $75 in better shape then the one on it. I have new black carpet for the doors and floor in boxes in the trunk. Too many cars and motorcycles, insurance fees are too high. I am selling for this reason. On Sep-08-15 at 21:08:38 PDT, seller added the following information: True SS car with 327 motor.
