Vehicle Detail
Hello, You are bidding on hard to find 1958 Ford Country Sedan 4 Door Wagon. The Wagon has been kept in a driver condition. It is not a show car but it does drive nice and turn heads. In my opinion this Ford wagon is in a 3 to a 3- condition and priced as such based on the Old Cars Price Guide. The engine runs nice and has been driven almost everyday for the past two weeks to cruise nights and to work and back. The carburetor was just rebuilt and the engine oil changed with ZDD Plus added. The front end suspension was also lubricated. The transmission shifts good and the fluid looks clean. The brakes are the old manual four wheel drum but stops fine for this technology. The exterior paint is a 6.5 out of 10 in my opinion. There are some blemishes, dullness, cracks and a couple scratches from being painted many years ago. The two tone color combination is really nice. The underside has some front floor repairs in the past done through a body shop. The rest of the floor still has its original Red oxide primer in spots. The underside has also had undercoat applied at some point in its life. The tires are older but have lots of tread and are balanced well. All the windows and rear hatch work great. There is a small crack in the passenger side front door glass and some chips here and there. The chrome and bright work on the car is a 7 out of 10 in my opinion. Some small dents but the wagon carries all of its original trim. The interior is in very nice condition. The seats are in great shape as well as the carpet and dash cluster. All the lights work except for one tag light. The suspension is older but rides very nice down the road and is quite. The restoration shop where the vehicle is located will perform work up to 1k value if the sale price is above the reserve. The shop can also perform any other work you may require before delivery at normal shop rates. It has been fun taking my family of 5 out for ice cream and to the car shows. This is a used Classic car from 1958. You are buying what you see in the detailed pictures and from the honest evaluation I have given you. This Wagon is for cruising, taking your family out for ice cream and going to local car shows. This is not a #2 car for 50k. The sale is final with no returns. I encourage you to come and see the wagon in person. I have the right to end the auction early as it is for sale locally. Only bid if you have the funds to pay for it. Title work is extra. The wagon is located in Souderton PA and being cared for by The Mustang Barn. Close to hotels and 35 minutes from the Philadelphia airport The Mustang Barn performs show quality restorations on all American classics, modifications on all late model Mustangs and American Classics, rebuilding services, state inspections, alignments, mechanical work, distributor recurves, vehicle evaluations, appraisals, vehicle location service and much more. On Sep-08-15 at 07:06:52 PDT, seller added the following information: Note: I filled the gas tank this morning and the tank is leaking at the top seam. The tank alone is $400.00. The Mustang Barn will install a new gas tank and sending unit at no charge if the vehicle reaches it's reserve price. This repair is apart of the 1k repair allowance.
