Great project vehicle! Runs, drives, stops, and steers, just needs some TLC. The body is in great condition with Zero deep rust, there is some minor surface rust on the passenger side door, and a small amount of rust behind one of the rocker guards (both shown in pictures) but the floors, front trunk, and all other areas are rust free. There are no serious dings or dents, the body is ready for bodywork and paint. The fiberglass is in decent condition but could use a little time to make it ready for body work, the worst is a crack in the front nose (also shown in pic). All the glass is good. The 1600cc motor runs very strong but does leak oil out of the drain. I'm not sure what all work it has had done to it, but it does have a header and a pipe. The four speed gear box works great and shifts flawlessly although it is sometimes difficult to find reverse but probably just needs slight adjusting. The brakes also work pretty well but there is quite a bit of travel in the pedal, maybe they just need bled a little. The interior is in good shape with front bucket seats and the rear bench which is also in good shape. There is an aftermarket cd player that does actually work, both the fuel gauge and speedometer work (the only two gauges), lights, blinkers, windshield wipers all work as well. The window regulators need replaced or possibly just greased and one door panel is missing. The tires are nearly brand new and still have the nipples on them. The rears are 31x10.5x15s bfg km2s, and the fronts are bfg advantage 185/65/15. This little bug is alot of fun to drive and really moves surprisingly fast! And even though it is a project and needs some work there's no reason it can't be driven or taken out for a little fun.
