You are bidding on a 1953 Ford F-100 Stepside pick-up truck from an ESTATE SALE collection being sold this summer. This customized Ford has a small block performance Chevy 350 motor, automatic transmission and custom seats. She would make a great cruiser and has a nice curb presence. This mild custom truck has a low reserve to protect some of its value. The Estate wants this vehicle to sell in this auction. If the reserve is not met we will work with the high bidder to complete the sale in THIS AUCTION! The Body is in decent shape, shiny, and fairly straight with no major dents and has a good road appearance. The paint job is driver-quality. The body has had work performed on it throughout its lifetime. It’s fairly nice and shiny in its present state. It’s an older paint job and does have some flaws. It’s basically a stored survivor and could be used as a cruiser or turned into a Rat Rod. There are areas of the paint where it’s worn down and other imperfections throughout the paint as well as some chips and scratches. There are areas under the rockers that show a little bit of body work and some areas in the fenders and quarters. There were areas that had metal replaced and/or patch panel repair like the rockers and truck bed area. The odometer shows 55,687 miles although we do not believe this to be correct. Doors, windows and hood operate as they should. Weatherstripping and rubber are in fair condition. Windshield and back glass are nice, but the driver’s door glass is cracked. Door handles are pitted The Interior is in ok condition for the most part. The metal door panels are in good condition. The vinyl seats are in nice condition and are custom and or from another vehicle. Most things on the dash do not work but the horn does. The Drivetrain is a Chevy 350 that sounds like it was performance built years ago. Probably a 70’s era motor with 194 heads, aluminum intake and performance 4bbl carburetor The engine starts right up, has a steady idle, nice with a bit of a performance lumpy cam. Sounds great with no smoke or noise and doesn’t really leak. The automatic transmission is shifted by an aftermarket floor shifter. Tranny shifts fine with no hesitation or slipping. She does leak from the pan gasket from sitting and will need a new gasket. No problems in the rearend. Brakes are marginal and need to be serviced but it does stop. The electrical system appears to have been upgraded to 12 volt. Undercarriage looks fairly solid. Frame looks nice as does the original suspension pieces. The cab floor has some rust issues that will need to be addressed mainly center floor area at the back of the cab. Truck bed looks to have some fabrication work done to it, looks nice and solid. Other info: Again this is from an ESTATE SALE and the truck has been sitting for years. There is no history other than what's listed.
