1970 Morgan 28

This is a good condition 1970 Morgan 28 sailboat with good compliment of working sails. Large berths. working head, nice ice box, new galley faucet, marine radio, FM new antenna, strong well built boat for long off shore cruising trips or day sailing. This boat is a solid, safe piece of maritime gold at this price. All lines lead to cockpit for easy single handing. New hardware including lots of running rigging, stainless lifelines, new bottom paint to the glass this past winter. Over all condition is solid. HOWEVER the Inboard universal M3-20B motor does not start. Low compression on cylinder 1. May be just a valve job? At this rice you can certainly have your choice of mounting yours or our outboard on the included mount, getting the inboard fixed, fixing it yourself if you are handy, or installing a brand new inboard. Really the options are all yours and you have a solid sailing vessel to start with. The cheapest of those is simply getting a used outboard between 6-12hp.Having said that...for an extra $1500 in a separate auction I have a low hour Mercury 8HP outboard which I have been sailing with for a full season and a half now reliably. It sips fuel and is capable of pushing her at almost hull speed. She is in the water on a mooring and sailing every weekend and ready for you to own. Make me an offer.
