Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 1964 Chevy K-10 4x4 with the big back window. NO reserve! This is a RARE truck and you are lucky to see one come up for sale this straight and solid! Everything is stock. Price starts much less - $10,000.00 - than my final winning bid of 16 months ago, $12,988.01One bid can win this truck! NEW INFO: 4x4 undercarriage all original, recently confirmed by mechanics Mechanics say you just don’t see this originality anymore Cab was replaced in past, so VIN from GMC Title is clear and clean, confirmed by DMV auditor Repairs / Parts since then total $6,133.00 (see below for details) Key Feature: In 1988, this truck was stored away in a garage for the next 26 years. That is, it has 26 less years of wear and tear than any other 1964 truck. This is the main reason it is in such good shape. It only came out a year ago, was put up on eBay, and I won the bid. Positive Notes: 4-speed manual that shifts nicely. The trucks four-wheel drive works well and is 100% factory original! See pictures of undercarriage. All stock truck recently confirmed by mechanics. Original 6 cylinder 292 that fires up and runs like a sewing machine due to a complete head / valve job and almost all new parts on engine. All glass is in great shape with no cracks. The chrome is in pretty nice shape not perfect but driver quality. Truck is very straight and has not seen any dents or bigger dings. Truck is extremely solid and very minimal rust. Rockers and floors solid. Cab is solid. I used the truck as a daily driver until last April and is freeway worthy. It has been stored in my shed and now I must sell due to the urging of she who must be obeyed. “No more spending money on the truck toy.” Receipts for the following NEW parts and repairs: 4/04/14 $1059 4 new tires: LT235/85R-16/10 “Open Country” 4/16/15 $1907 top to bottom check-up, not driven since 1988: fluids, electrical parts, wheel bearings & cylinders seat belts added, etc. etc. etc. 4/17/14 $130 hoop steps added: clamped, not drilled 4/23/14 $104 new tailpipe 5/15/14 $348 emerg. brake adjusted, carb recleaned & adjusted 6/13/14 $2313 complete cylinder head overhaul 6/27/14 $176 battery and wiper blades 1/14/15 $203 carb rebuilt, hole in float fixed TOTAL $6133 Improvements on truck purchased for $12,988.01 Plus - (without receipts): gas fuel-sending unit, new stock arm rests, new stock sun visors, retro style chrome mirrors (clamped, not drilled), hexmat floor mats, original owner and shop manuals Caveats: Custom tachometer is never seen in a 4x4, looks great but currently not hooked up and working. Runs 40W engine oil - lower half of engine uses some oil and my mechanic said now that the head is done and in mint condition, finish the pistons and rods, etc. and have a new engine. But, done spending money. Still runs great, just add oil as needed. Bed has solid metal, but small hole in wood – see picture. Original wood is not bad for 50 years. It does have a couple small rust bubbles on the side of a lower door. The paint looks to have been resprayed before and is an old paint job, still has the old looking survivor look. Paint has scratches. The story from the previous seller: “The owner got a divorce and his old lady was very upset and keyed the truck, mostly on the driver side, but she keyed the back tailgate, and passenger side bed also.” VIN Number is from a 1964 GMC cab. See Picture. 1001HF2612A. HF means made in Oakland in 1964. Cab was switched out sometime in the past. Frame number is H14688 See picture. H means heavy duty frame. Has factory spare tire holder for underneath. Interior of the truck is holding up quite well. All in all this truck is a beauty and I get the thumbs up driving her every time! You won’t find a nicer, straighter, and solid old truck as this one! E-mail me with questions – kcrozier@seanet.com. I am selling in as-is condition. Buyer must pay with cash in person, or I will accept bank to bank wire transfer or I will take a check but it must clear before pickup, Buyer has 3 days from end of auction to pay in full. For faster response please e-mail me. Thanks for looking and good luck on bidding!
