Vehicle Detail
I have a 1968 Dodge Charger R/T that is rare for it was heavily optioned out when built. It has power windows A/C cruise control and rear window defroster. Along with disc brakes in the front. The car needs a total restoration but is almost complete it has the dash and original radio still in it front seat and the upper rear seat the door panels and headliner are long gone. It appears that most of the wiring is still intact the glass is all there Except the windshield is cracked. The doors are good needing minimal repair in the corners the hood is good too the front valance and bumpers are rebuildable the front fenders are off a 69 and need to be replaced. The trunk lid needs rust repair along with the tail panel but are saveable the rear valance is good but off a 69 so you would have to weld up the reverse light holes. The car needs rear quarters I recommend full quarters from AMD it needs a trunk floor and rear frame rail work all which are readily available. There rear seat pan should be replaced when doing the frame rails as you can see in the picture. The front floor pan drivers side where your feet go has been repaired up to you if you want to replace it. It appears the original radiator and fan are in the trunk the engine appears complete the a/c compressor still turns and 90% of the a/c is still there the transmission is out of the car. The fender tag rotted away along time ago. The rear axle is there but there's no pinion gear? Car needs a massive restoration but is a great investment rare high option car. Real XS vin R/T charger 90% of the chrome trim is there and in pretty nice shape! The grill has no vacuum things to make it work and needs a lot of work but could be restored its got some cracked pieces where some of the bolts go and is just temporary put in. There's no buttons for the power windows but the wiring is there. Any question just ask your welcome to come look at it. I will go out of my way to help get this loaded when you come get it or find a shipper U ship works good and I have a few numbers for some shippers I've used. THERE IS NO TITLE just a CT bill of sale I fill out. Now go back and reread that last sentence! I require a $750 down payment with in 48 hours the final amount in 5 days from the end of auction. Now go back and reread that sentence to! If you don't have the money please don't bid. I will work with the buyer on the amount of time it can stay here. I'm pretty easy going. Don't want to sell it but I'm up to my eyeballs in medical bills. If this one sells and it goes easy I've got four other chargers that I will sell. Thanks for looking and please ask questions! Mopar Dodge Charger B body Chrysler R/TOn Aug-07-15 at 10:26:42 PDT, seller added the following information: I added more photos. Today I had the chance to get the car up on ramps. The car is better than I thought. The rust is mainly in the rear the floors are good in the front half its the under rear seat pan where the rear frame rails begin. The left rear frame rail needs to be replaced or cap it with a safe T cap. The right rear rail you could do from the middle of the trunk back. I know people get scared when they hear the word frame! But it's unibody they are so easy to do. It needs a complete trunk floor any way so alike more cutting and you take the rails right out. It needs quarters as you can see. But the rockets are mint the front have of the frame is perfect. The engine does turn over. The trannys out but I have it. You can also see the rear end has no pinion gear in it but the axle housing is original. I will post more pics later.
