This is a solid “barn find” with a solid frame, floor pans and body. The old man that owned it passed away this year and the family contacted us to help them sell it. Title is present. The car needed a good bath, a good interior cleaning, and a cut and polish to bring the paint back to life. No damage from insects or rodents found inside or out. The engine and trans are strong and it is all original, INCLUDING the MILES!! It has the small block 302 V8 w/2 barrel carb, the 3 speed hydromatic transmission, and factory Air Conditioning (needs a charge, unknown if it works but appears to have a new DELCO compressor). The tires are newer. The steering components were completely replaced by our shop here when we got the car. It doesn’t appear to be leaking any fluids or leaving its mark everywhere we have had it parked. The rear bumper has a bit of peeling on one corner (see pics) and one corner is bent as well. The frame and floor pans have minor rust flaking but appear to be solid. No visible rust through. The body and paint are all pretty straight. The paint has the normal lacquer check. The Dark Claret is the original color based on the trim plate. We can’t say if it is the original factory paint. The old man put trailer type mirrors on the car which will probably need replacing if the new owner chooses. All the aluminum trim around the windows and doors are in great condition. The headlights and all lenses are in good condition with no cracks. The pickup bed is solid and has no rust bubbles or rust through and hasn’t been abused. The lights all are in working order. The wipers work, radio plays, crank windows roll up and down with ease and no binding. The interior is in excellent condition. The fabric on the seats is vibrant and without sun fading. The carpets are also in excellent condition with vibrant coloring and no sun fade. The back panel behind the seat doesn’t quite fit right. There is no musty or mildew smells. A set of GM floor mats are in place. The driver’s seat vinyl has some separation by the seat belt guide (see pics).
