Vehicle Detail
2001 BMW 530i - Private Seller - Well Maintained - Looks Great, Drives Great This is a "No Reserve" auction. Rebuilt Title - Let's get this elephant out of the room. I bought this car 2.5 years ago with a rebuilt title. It had been involved in a collision to the front right corner. Air bags were not deployed. It was repaired and inspected and a rebuilt title was issued. The car had 68000 miles on it when I purchased it. I drive a lot and I have put 63000 miles since I purchased it. I have been test driving a bunch of new $30 000 - 40 000 cars lately and this car has more power, is more comfortable, and much better handling than any brand new car that I've driven. I purchased a Hybrid for the MPG, otherwise I would have kept this BMW. Condition - Overall the car is in good condition. It has the usual wear and tear that you would expect to find on a 15 year old car. All electronics work. All the pixels on the dash work. The radio has some pixels out(see pictures). Matching Michelin Exalto Tires still have at least 75% tread. Leather is in good shape. Engine runs strong. AC blows cold. Inspected through April 2016. I always use premium gas and Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil. Features - Everything works!! Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Tilt/Telescoping Steering Wheel, Heated Leather Seats, Xenon Headlights with Angel Eyes, Rain Sensing Automatic Wipers, Power Seats, Power Sunroof, Automatic Transmission with Tiptronic, Steering Wheel Audio Controls, Cruise Control, Homelink Garage Door Controls, Self Dimming Rear View Mirror, Dual Zone Climate Control. Maintenance and Repairs - My mechanic says once you get over the 100 000 mile "hurdle" these cars will run forever. I have spent the money and we're over the hurdle. I always use OEM or better parts. The following work has been completed in the past year or so: New Spark Plugs and Ignition Coils - $600. New Complete Rear Suspension including Bilstien HD Shocks - $1800. New Front Trust Arm Bushings - $400 New Wheel Speed Sensors - $300 New Radiator, Belts, Hoses, Tensioners, Idle Pully - $950. New Front Rotors - $600 New Front Sway Bar Links - $200 New Crankcase Ventilation Valve(PCV), Vanos Oil Line, Valve Cover Gasket - $1800 New Thermostat, Water Pump, Expansion Tank - $800 New Alternator - $450.
