Vehicle Detail
I am doing this auction a little different. No reserve! But there is a reason! A portion of this sale will benefit our Wounded Warrior's. Please don't ask me to stop this auction, it is not for sale locally! Here is the only place that u will find this truck for sale! I bought this vehicle from a member of our armed forces, It was neglected and not running. He had done so much work to it in the period of better than 10 years and wanted to see it running again. It had a stage 2 Pheonix Racing engine Installed and the transmission rebuilt in 2005. The cam has a nice rumble to it. The engine was completely rebuilt and balanced. I have the paperwork on the engine but not the transmission. I was told the engine and transmission have less than 5000mi since being rebuilt. Actual mileage on the truck is unknown. I have a whole folder full of receipts that u will receive as the winning bidder. I promised this soldier that I would get it running again and I have. I removed the fuel tank and sent it out to be throughly cleaned. Cleaned the fuel system and installed a new fuel sending unit and fuel filter. Removed the Edelbrock electric choke carb cleaned and installed a rebuild kit. A fresh set of AC delco platinum plugs. A new summit racing HEI dizzy and wires. The beast is now alive! The engine runs incredible and will do awesome burnouts! The trans runs thru gears and shifts as it should so I have no reason not to believe the turbo 400 trans was rebuilt at the same time the engine was. I have used an aftermarket bracket (thanks Alan Grove)to mount the power steering as the headers keep u from using the factory p/s brackets. The power steering works great! The exhaust is flowmaster and sounds awesome althought a few leaks around the header flange are noticeable. The tires are new but u can see noticable dry cracking but they are perfect for burnouts before replacing them. The brakes need attention and although they do somewhat work they pull when stopping. It is for those 2 reasons only thatI would advise a trailer for the ride home. Make no mistake this truck does run and drive and I have no doubt that u could drive it anywhere. The gauges and most of the lighting works as it should the window regulators work well. This is an origional SWB unaltered frame truck. The seat is not in bad shape but could use recovering and a bit of foam where the driver sits..As for the body its lived some of its life in Florida and although having had some previous body work and a nice paint job at some point in its lift the body is a little rough and has rust in all the normal locations as a truck from this era normally has. Personally I'd do the brakes and tires and drive it like u stole it!! Burnouts at each redlight etc.. This truck is being sold as is, no warranty with a clean, clear Arkansas title. I have been burned by several no count low down sapsuckers that wont pay and it has tendencies to run it for everyone. If u have to ask ur wife or mom for the money dont bid! This is no reserve it will sell! Non paying bidders will be reported and feedback left as such. This truck is available for inspection. I am in central Arkansas and available most days before 2pm. U are welcome to come out look and possibly even do a burnout!! Call or text for questions or to make an appointment to come out and look prior to bidding. Tony 870-917-4381. I sell worldwide as long as u make the arangements! My last truck went to the United Kingdom. I am availabe to help load as needed. If paying the full amount via paypal that is fine, but be aware to add the 3% in fees back in that paypal charges. I will not charge the 3% on the $500 deposit if paying by paypal. The balance is due in 7 days after the auction ends payable by cash in person, postal money order, but no Monopoly money will be accepted u know what I mean! The truck will be paid in full before leaving. Arangements to have the truck moved need to be made asap. If u plan on picking it up personally im ok with that too but please have it done within 14 days. I understand worldwide shipping takes a little extra time just call me and let me know whats going on.
