1964 MERCURY PARK LANE ( PROJECT CAR ) RARE 2 Dour " Breezeway Coupe " * Z * CODE 390 4BBL 300 HP ( Completely Rebuilt ) ~ Console ~ Sport Bucket Seats ~ ========================================= Here is a Very Rare Automobile ! Only 1786 in 1964 and a small percentage had the 390 4bbl with the console and Bucket seats ! We estimate only around 300 in this combination . Its unknown to us how many exist today , but it is very few ! The Park Lane was Mercury's Luxury Cruiser with lots of Muscle ! Many that had the 390 Z code were the Marauder version which had the fastback roof design . That is what makes this low production Breezeway roof car a standout to a Collectors for they were the least produced in 1964 . See the charts below in pictures . The Breezeway Roof has a rear window which is power and slides down to let the air flow through the car . A design that was dis continued in 1968 . The slant back look is unique and exclusive to only the Mercury . This is a one family owned car and spent much of it's time as a New York City suburb car . The original owners son had the engine completely rebuilt in 1986 at about 85000 miles at the cost of over $2,000 ( See Receipts ). The car was on the road till 1993 until it was parked in a garage and no longer driven . We recently acquired it and got it running and ready to sell . It will need to be gone over , especially brakes as they are not functioning at this time . The Body is 80% solid with rust along the lower quarters and under rear rockers . All panels are straight and the front drivers fender at the nose has a rust hole . The car will need a total repaint . All chrome is intack and every thing is with the car . The wheel covers do not go with car . There are chrome rings that do come with the car . Tires are in great condition . The car does not have keys we may put a new ignition switch in it . We wired started the car and will start it to transport if necessary . The interior is in good condition and every thing is in tack . Owners Manual in console . Wind shield is broke , all other glass good . The frame is solid as well as the undercarriage . Motor runs terrific and tranny shifts .
