This is the car that I've wanted ever since I saw one in 1972. I was struck by the mix of functionality and quirky artistic design of this odd little two door wagon. My first car was a 1958, 444 sedan...also very functional and unique. That started my infatuation with the old Volvos and my affection for the layout and design of the B series engines. I went through a series of models until finally, in 2003, I was able to treat myself to this 1973 Volvo 1800ES sport wagon. The time has come for me to pass my great little car on to someone as taken by it as I am. It's in amazing shape... not a trailer queen but pretty close. Everything works and looks great (the clock runs slow). Even the notorious factory Volvo A/C is blowing hard and cold. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car cross-country. This car is a descendant of Irv Gordon's 1966 Volvo P1800 that holds the record for most miles driven- over 3 million. Body is rust and ding free 60,307 original miles Purchased from the third owner in 2003. I have all of the previous owners records- back to purchase.
