For sale we have as listed a 1988 (Not 1980 as listed. Ebay does not recognize European VIN's) long wheel base 2.5 110 Land Rover Defender, Left hand drive, 5 Speed box, power brakes and steering. This very nice tough go anywhere vehicle is a turn key ready to go car. It has by it's previous owner been used as an every day car. I have used it and reached highway speeds with ease although being one of these it does take a while but 70 mph can be reached. It is a diesel so economical. These are nice long distance seats.A brand new rear jump seat and load bay protection mat has been added. It can now up to take up to 7 with plenty of room for hunting/camping gear. It also features a new alloy gear knob and Cubby box with cup holders. The exterior has been treated to full body Armour, Tough black steel grille for fending off those forest trails, New spot lamps, full length rack with work light. Brand new rear lights.All round BF Goodrich AT's with excellent tread plus a brand new spare.Then engine has been re-built and has all associated invoices as well as many others to do with the car. As Listed, a used original un-restored vehicle that is over 25 years old so please remember that when buying. It is USED. The Spanish hot climate has been very kind to the car however there will be age related wear. It is much better than many 10 year old vehicles condition wise. It has some minor surface rust on the underside of the Hood frame as can be seen in the photos, the rest is aluminium. Some areas of thinner paint on the Aluminium body. Chassis is clean. the rear cross member has been replaced due to the fact that very unusually for here it had a hole in it. This was caused by an owner sticking chequer plate on it. This whilst looking nice stores up trouble for the future as the dirt and mud has nowhere to go and cannot be cleaned properly, it then rots out from the inside. Rather than patch it like like many would we purchased a new one with chassis extensions. The best solution. This will last another at least another 30 years if cleaned properly. The 2.5 engine is tough but being as this has the very strong and highly desirable LT85 Gearbox, it will take a 200, 300TDi right upto a V8 swap. All will drop straight in with out problem. I also have the option if you don't like the Spanish Defender frontal treatment for a " UK Defender kit". This includes the wing tops with light panel, new crystal headlights, new headlamp bowls, indicators and side lights again new and the black surrounds for an extra $500 This kit transforms the front into a Defender and is indistinguishable from a Defender. We ship from Barcelona, Tarragona or Valencia through SEFCO Shipping. This costs around $2300 port to port (based on shipping to Jacksonville) plus the 2.5% customs on top of the final agreed sale price. Buying cars from abroad can be scary but we do everything we can to assure you. We have an agent/sister company in Jacksonville who can help you through the whole process.The car is 25 years old and original so has no problems getting in. It follows the strict USA import regulations. It is un-tampered, over 25 years and original, IT GETS IN. Once in the USA the cars value will be enhanced due to being a Long wheelbase and Left hand drive. Before the car comes over take advantage of cheap Land Rover parts prices and think of what you would like or may need in the future and I will send it over in the car as other clients have done, escaping expensive freight costs later on.
