Vehicle Detail

1979 Pontiac Trans Am 4 spd w/ AC If you are looking for a Trans Am to buy as a driver or to restore Look no further. Here is a list of reasons this is the car everyone on Ebay will want (and the same reasons I hate to sell) Out of thousands of Trans Ams built in 79 only 1590 where built with this drivetrain - 301 V8 4v w/ a factory 4 spd. Red w/ Gold accents is probably the 2nd most popular color to own. (Black and Gold is usually #1) But in my opinion, Red is # 1 This is a 1 owner car special ordered early 1979 here in Tucson at Quebedaux Pontiac (which is still in business in the same spot) The cars never been modded , raced or hot rodded. Its been adult driven its whole life. There is zero bondo or rust on the body or floors (except surface maybe) thanks to the Az climate, yeah its just how cars here survive. In the pics youll see whats left of the original paint, which in a few places is down to the original primer and plastic in a few areas. Original matching #s drivetrain from motor to rearend. A shade under 104K original miles - AZ Box A title. Factory Options like A/C PS and more... No T Tops which is a Plus knowing the car is more solid and less chance of water damage now or down the road. Why buy a rust bucket when you can have a SOLID car like we are selling. Personally if I kept it, Id detail the engine compartment put back on the factory style exhaust tips, make sure it was mechanically in good shape, and redo most of the interior and drive it as like that !! Keep it as original as possible down to the paint. In the glove box is still the VEHICLE DELIVERY RECEIPT - EXCEPTION REPORT Dated 4-5-79 . Chances are the original Broadcast sheet is still somewhere IN the car ( I may try to find it this week) which is fun to do when its 108 degrees outside :) HOPE YOU LIKE PICTURES, because below we have about 150 to show you ! Why buy from us ? Our feedback speaks for itself and we have some of the very BEST REPRESENTED vehicles on ebay !! by that I mean we post over 100 pics of the vehicle. Inside, outside, under , everywhere !! Ive yet to see anyone else on ebay put up detailed pics like ours. We dont have alot of fine print blah blah. Just the important stuff buyers are looking for. VERY DESIRABLE 1979 Trans Am - stock original sheetmetal BUY 1 of our AZ vehicles and spend less time repairing rust for weeks on end, and keep more of the original sheetmetal making your project worth more in the end and spending less money in the end. Brief description: OUR 100% feedback speaks for itself - PLEASE CHECK OUT OUR FEEDBACK !! and many of our feedback are from about 15 cars we sold just this past year here on EBay. We put more time and effort into our ads making it much easier for the potential buyers to bid with confidence. NOT MANY OF THESE trucks left with original sheetmetal still like this one. UN RESTORED SURVIVOR. Our auctions clearly show the most detail of what to expect Over any other auctions Ive seen online. Buy with confidence !! EXTERIOR: you are looking at whats left of the original Red enamel paint from 1979. Az has been hard on the paint like most cars around here but its still beats rust holes and bubbles in places you cant see. The cars body was immaculate up until about a yr ago when the original owner let his son drive the car once and he somehow dented the RR quarter panel. That was the 1 and only time Jr got to drive the car. I good body person can repair the metal with minimal bondo if someone decided to repaint the car again. Dr side door outter door handle broken as usually seen on these cars and the dr side door hinges showing some wear. Pass side it great. All the factory spoilers / flares etc there and accounted for. Hood functions properly as does the release. The factory A/C blows but not cold, but it looks to be all there. DRIVETRAIN: people dont buy these cars because they are fast or supercars I find it funny when you see these cars with all the add on crap from the 80s like headers, intakes, and things like that. Most people who buy these cars want something as close to the way it came off the showroom as possible, and with this car, its about as close as you can get compared to most of the junk Ive seen out there for sale. Ive even seen so called "restored" cars with a bunch of useless bolt on crap on their cars who want crazy money for their cars. ITS MUCH MORE RARE TO FIND A SURVIVOR or RESTORED back to Factory condition Trans Am these days, making this car in my opinion worth much more then others Ive seen for sale. The Motor, Transmission, rearend all on this car are the ones that came with the car when it left the factory. Factory shaker, shifter, quadrajet, emissions stuff from back in the day looks all to be intact. The car even has the factory 15x7 Snowflakes (w/ gold accents) and compact spare are still on / in the car too. The car JUST PASSED ARIZONA Emissions for new tags last month !! I drove the car home at nite in the rain and it was uneventful. But it does need wiper blades. Not sure when the last time the car was tuned up or timing checked, but I feel the power is down a little. Chances are with just some basic tune up stuff and timing advanced some, it would add some grunt to the car. As it the car runs and drives fine around town or on the hwy. A little more hp couldnt hurt esp if it can be done without ruining the originality of the car. The exhaust from the manifolds back look to be all original too or in great shape, except for the rear muffler and tailpipes have been changed. They need to be put back to factory. INTERIOR: old, original showing its age alot. This is probably the most worn part of the car from the Az sun and heat. Cracked dash of course and 90% of the plastic panels are just crumbling they are so brittle. Carpet is worn out in spots too. Headliner and rear pkg shelf and center console lid showing their age. Seat upholstery not as bad as you may expect. As is, you could drive it everyday, but Id restore about 70% of the major stuff first and try to save as much of the original components as possible. Glass is all good. Old window tint should be removed soon, it would help the appearance quite a bit. SUSPENSION: basically bone stock suspension thats been taken care over the years. Factory front disc brakes of course along with Front and Rear sway bars. No clunks to report and the car actually drives down the road fine, it drives way better then I expected. The original owner did mention he replaced some bushings over the last few yrs in the front end. I did notice the addition of what looks like an helper leaf on the rear springs, so Im sure they need replaced if you are going to do a mostly mechanical restoration on the car and probably some new shocks and misc bushings. Check out ALL the pics below -----> If other auctions are not showing areas under their Trans Ams who really knows what sort of shape its in. Dont find out the hard and $$ way. At least our auctions show as much as possible to potential buyers and bidders. it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra scroll bar on the right side. Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate. more info AFTER the pics etc. There are 150 large pics. Make sure you click on SEE FULL DESCRIPTION in the Ebay AD To view all the pictures ! Heres a great chance to buy a TRANS AM that you have been wanting from seller / auction with more info and pics then anyone else on ebay. Check the other auctions, its true. A vehicle marketed for ALL ebay bidders and buyers. UN RESTORED and affordable to most all buyers !!! Being sold by us, a seller with excellent feedback and history With ebay and buyers. What more could you ask for ? :) There you have it, probably The BEST represented T/As on Ebay. Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you appreciate them. We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows. Generally all of our vehicles sell the first time around, but there are occasions we have to relist. I cant tell you how many times people email us trying to buy a vehicle that just sold on ebay because they got outbid in the end, just to find out the car is definitely sold and no longer available. I suggest to avoid this happening to you, put up a higher proxy bid before it ends so you can win the vehicle !! We rarely have to relist of put out 2nd chance offers. Our prices are usually much lower then most dreamers out there too trying to sell cars online. IF you choose to buy someone elses car we wish you the best, but if you dont see nice clear pics like ours, who really knows what you are getting unless you can check it out in person first. Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what sort of surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating. People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers. Our auctions have NOTHING to hide . Restore a car like this yourself or locally and you know exactly what you have in the end. Email us with ANY questions before you bid please If you treat yourself to buying one of our vehicles youll never buy a total buckets again from anyone !! Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. Doing restoration on this type of project is less labor intensive which means overall cost is less too ! With less horrid surprises later on. Dont let auctions with little to no pics try to fool you. With other auctions, you really dont know what to expect until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER with great pics to help making your decision easier. Along with ANY other questions you may have. Email me for a quote for shipping from AZ as we are also a broker and we have several companys to get the best quote for the fastest service.
