Vehicle Detail

I am selling a 1984 Mercedes 300 SD. The car is in very nice condition, especially considering it has been a Michigan car it's entire life. The paint is still shiny and bright. There is a little rust just behind one front wheel: you can see it in one of the pics. I've had the car for 6 years, and have put 30,000 miles on it. It's been in a garage every winter except the last two. We moved, and the car won't fit in the 1935 garage, so it's been in the driveway with a 5-layer car cover over it. The air conditioning worked for about a month, then the compressor froze. I replaced the compressor, but the air does not work. I have replaced all of the vacuum pods for the heating/cooling system, and have replaced the ignition switch. The control for the heating/cooling is a little iffy. I resoldered all the connections, but it still doesn't cooperate sometimes. Other times it works fine. The car was parked all winter under the cover, and I went out in the Spring, lit up the glow plugs, and the car started with the first turn of the key. It has 331,000 miles but I am confident that the engine is in good condition. The car comes with a sharp set of Cragar rims and Pirelli tires. One tire is shredded, and its mate is low on tread, but the other two are good. I included one pic showing the car with the rims. The sunroof, power windows, and power locks all work. The stereo is an aftermarket, and whoever put it in didn't wire it quite right, so it needs to be reprogrammed whenever the switch is turned off. It does work, though. It's not a show car, but is a very nice survivor. The interior is genuine leather, not the thick vinyl that is in most of these cars. I am not looking to rip anyone off: the car is fun to take cruising, and goes down the road straight and true at 75mph. It's a good ride, and I think it's worth way more than my minimum, but I really don't have the room to keep it. The car will be advertised locally. There is no reserve, but I did include a "Buy It Now" price if you are sure you want it. On Jun-28-15 at 14:00:02 PDT, seller added the following information: I TOOK THE LOCAL AD DOWN. HIGH BID WILL GET THE CAR.
