PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO READ THIS AD FULLY!!!!!!! *****LOW RESERVE*** This is for a very Nice and Clean 2001 Porsche Boxster.1rst off I am not very knowledgable on these cars.I bought this car a few months ago from a repo sale from a local finance co.It had NO key when I got it and somebody had messed up the ignition key switch at the holding lot.I was told the car was running and driving when repoed last july 2014.I bought it on march of 2015.The car is in good shape and has obviously been taken care of.The interior is very clean and has never been wet.Dash is perfect as is the carpet and door panels.Very slight wear on the driver seat.The spare and tool kit under the hood is like new.I have all the books and manuals.The car is black and very straight.The tires are good and rims are look perfect.Here wher my adventure begins.Please read everything below. In order try to get it running I purchased a complete ignition and lock/immobilizer set offline.I was told this would do it.It came with the ignition switch and column lock assy with Key,driver door lock and console lock and the under seat security box and the engine computer all from a car of the same year with manual trans.I paid over 600.00 for these parts off ebay from a reputal Porsche dismattler out west and I have the serial # of the car they were removed from,That I will provide to the new owner. So here we go,I bought a brand new correct 250.00 battery and started installing the afore mention parts,with the battery unhooked,and low and behold the car cranked up.It runs but is skipping badly,remember it had been sitting since@ july of 20014.No knocking or smoking,there was some ticking but this seemed to mostly go away.I hooked a hand held code reader to the ob2 port and it showed multible cyl misfire on #3,#1,#5.Also even though the car would crank and run on the under seat security box almost nothing electrical inside the car would work,none of power windows some of the gauges front and rear hood and trunk releases and so forth.But the A/c worked,power steering works and the clutch is good as I moved the car forword and back and went thru the gears.Strangly the doors windows would still drop when you open either door but would not work with the switch.Keep in mind,Everything on the car worked before I swapped the under seat box ,with the exception of the starter,due to the immobilezer chip in this box,I assume.So I descided the rehook up the original under seat box and low and behold EVERYTHING worked again,including all lights gauges,front and rear luggage compartments,radio and so forth.Windows worked like they were supposed to with the doors opening and with the switches.I then unhooked that original box and hooked the other one back up and now it would not crank again.Each time I disconnected the battery beforehand.I presently have the original under seat box back reinstalled, so everything is working again, but the car still will NOT restart.I am over my head with this and I am tired of fooling with it, so I am going to offer it for sale with a low reserve and maybe someone that knows these cars will have better luck than me.The top opens and closes easily & manually and is in great shape other than the rear window.I have a new rear clear correct thickness window I was going have resewn in.Heres a chance to own a cheap Boxster. Keep in mind that I am selling this car AS IS!!!Not running!!No Gaurentees,but when the motor did crank,there was no knocks and no smoke and the engine is dry.It is full of oil and the antifreeze is clean and full.The oil is fairly clean also Please note my feedback.Car will be sold as mileage exempt,which is required by the state of Alabama anyway on a 10 year old car.If you have any questions just contact me thru ebay.I will consider trades.I have a clear Ala title in my Name in hand.
