Vehicle Detail

This auction is for a 2002 Toyota RAV4 EV. The car has 173,000 miles on it with a 70 mile range. The car is running beautifully on its second battery pack. The first pack got ~98,000mi and then it was replaced (by Battery MD in the Bay Area) with a pack that had only ~10,000mi on it. What's great is that we've nurtured this second pack with far greater care through the wisdom knowledge of greater battery life: very few charges to max capacity, very few deep discharges, always charged in the cool of off peak hours between 12mid night and 6am. This RAV4 came spec'd with aluminum rotors with the front disc brakes but we had those swapped out for steel rotors that can be "turned" if ever necessary for greater brake life. This EV is white with grey interior and loaded with all the stuff that was fabulously modern in 2002: power windows, power locks, power mirrors, AM/FM/CD player and heated seats. There are a couple of dings: front right fender, passenger side mirror (see pics) but other than that it's a sweet, silent, clean ride. Also, the car comes with a charger than can be installed at your home: a Magna Charge SPI (that stands for Small Paddle Inductive - again, see pics) that will charge the car at 6.6kwh for a full charge in ~4 hours. PS. this is the RAV4 featured in the award winning documentary "Who Killed The Electric Car" in which actresses Alexandra Paul and Colette Divine blockaded the transport truck loaded with EV1s destined for destruction. Which might make it the most famous RAV4 in the world. As a side note the ladies finally gave in to the demands of the police and unlocked the doors to be arrested. So.....no windows or door latches where harmed in the making of that movie.
