Vehicle Detail
1963 Jaguar XKE Series I Fixed Head Coupe.Matching numbers.61,300 original miles.Unrestored condition.Completely rust-free.All the chrome is in extraordinary condition.I've been told by the family that previously owned the car that their grandfather bought this car new.The car was originally pale gold,as you can see in the some of the pictures. It looks like it has had two repaints, one blue and one maroon. The right windshield piller molding is missing, along with the right front turn signal lens and half of the rear window trim. There is a new in the bag windshield rubber molding. The interior is completely original and in nice condition.I do not have the original radio. The wire wheels are nice and straight,no pitting on the chrome, and would need very little clean-up.The spare is also chrome.I do have the original tool kit and jack with their original pouches, along with the owners manual and some other dealer paperwork in its factory folder. Under the hood, the engine and components are 100% complete and original except for the electric fan.I was told by the previous owner that it ran when it was parked 7 years ago,but now it appears that the engine is stuck.I have put penetrating oil in all of the cylinders, but that's as far as I've gone. The transmission shifts through all the gears and the differential looks like it works properly. The brakes work, but the clutch master cylinder is frozen.Let me know if you need additional pictures of a particular area.I would be happy to e-mail them to you.I have clear, clean Nevada title. Please be aware of shipping costs before you bid.Shipping is the buyer's responsibility, although I will help in any way I can.The deposit for the winning bidder is due in 24 hours of close of auction and is non refundable.I am happy to answer any questions.Good luck bidding.
