Vehicle Detail
I'm selling our 1986 Scirocco with 48,259 ORIGINAL miles. The car has ZERO rust on it and has been here in Arizona much of its life. The car is in very good condition, the interior is very nice, and everything works that I know of except for the driver's door handle which sometimes sticks. The handle is about $20.00. The air conditioning is ICE COLD. The tires have low mileage on them (probably less than 200 miles) but should probably be replaced if you are going to drive the car a long distance due to inactivity of the rubber. The car has a 5 speed manual, a power antenna for the radio, and all of the FACTORY gauges/shelving, etc. The seats are in almost new shape. Please email me for specifics or if you want a picture of a particular part of the car. The original paint needs a wax job. In the pictures I only rinsed the car off, if you used soap and wax it would look pretty good. As you can imagine, some of the rubber around the driver/passenger front windows has dried out and may need to be replaced. I doubt you will find another Scirocco with this low of original mileage ANYWHERE. Other than braided spark plug wires, the car is STOCK. I just put new wipers on the windshield and it has a BRAND NEW battery. Will make a very neat daily driver, we have only put 50 miles on it over the last several years buy now are moving and can't take all of our cars across country. Happy Bidding. On May-22-15 at 14:20:12 PDT, seller added the following information: ***NOTE*** On May 21 I had the fuel-pressure accumulator professionally replaced (part was $175.00) due to a small drip that I saw when I moved the car. It has a diaphram in it and after time apparently they can dry out and start leaking fuel. I also had the fuel tank drained and had 5 gallons of treated gas (techron additive) added. The receipt for $325.64 will be provided to the winning bidder. Sorry, I couldn't/wouldn't sell the car with a fuel leak.
