Vehicle Detail
This great classic was purchased in 1981 by former British Army Colonel Robert Wigham who, at the time, was residing in Buffalo New York. The car was purchased in St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada. Wigham religiously maintained the car returning it to the shop in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada a couple of times each year for servicing. Prior to his death he spent almost $11,000 on a complete professional rebuild. While there are approximately 40,000 miles on the car, there are only about 1,000 miles on the rebuild. This gorgeous car starts and runs like new!! According to an appraisal of the Bentley by a well known, recognized consultant, appraiser and expert witness, His statement was "I find this Mark 6 to be in excellent condition. The body is rust and damage free and has been professionally repainted. The car is equipped with the original factory engine and drivetrain, radio, sunroof, Lucas driving lamps and factory wheels and hubcaps with 650x16 Michelin tires". He further states that the car has an actual cash value, for insurance purposes, of $40,000. The present owner (Colonel Wigham's daughter) must sell the vehicle and has asked us to help her with the sale. Based on her financial needs, she has priced this very nice running Mark 6 considerably lower then the appraised value. We have thoroughly inspected this beautiful car and have found only one defect. On the drivers side of the front seat is a stain approximately 3" in diameter. We are sure that a decent upholstery shop can dye that portion of the leather back to it's original color. Other then that, a good coat of wax would be our only other recommendation. If you have any further questions about this fine automobile, please feel free to contact me at 585-314-8000. Thank you, Brian Page NOTE: this great car is licensed and has passed a New York State vehicle inspection good through September of 2015.
