1965 Mustang Fastback 2+2. C-code 289c.i. Automatic 4bbl. Upgrade Factory Air Conditioning This car was just uncovered in Central California *NO RUST*. The owner had used the car as a daily driver less than 10 miles round trip to work. It was parked running, just needing basic maintenance. It was discovered under a cover where it has been for the last 10 years. I took the car to the shop washed it, charged the battery, added fuel and it runs and drives good. This is not a rusted and damaged car that has been freshly painted to hide its true condition. The undercarriage is free of visible damage and the unibody frame has no rust. Only a couple of small dents need repair. One in the front lower valance another in the left rear quarter and a small dent in the roof line above the drivers door. The car is on a salvage title. The original owner told me the damage was minor, but 20 years ago the value of the car much less. He kept the car had the damage repaired and drove the car for another 10 years. I can find repaint to the right door and I find NO BONDO or weld in repairs. It is sure hard to find any repairs. The welds and body lines are all original as far I can tell in the door jams, trunk and under the hood. Please look at the pictures, this car is in much better condition than most Mustangs listed lately. Body lines are all straight, hood is not sprung in any way, doors close like a new car, body rubber is still soft and pliable and did I mention NO RUST (other than some light surface). This is a very nice nearly all original 1965 Mustang Fastback 2+2. Ready for any level of restoration you choose. Or just buy and drive tomorrow. Paint code is Springtime Yellow appears the car was sent back for a factory repaint as the paint behind the door tag is Ivy Green the rivets appear original. Components under the hood are not painted with Ivy Green no signs of taping and overspray but the entire motor bay is painted. This was an exceptional repaint done when the car was new. Done a long time ago. Please note the door tag is not painted on, nor has it been cut in. The paint is untouched around the tag. ? Original? Motor appears to be the original 289 c.i. with a 4bbl. upgrade. I have documents of service and the invoice indicates original rebuilt.
