Vehicle Detail
This is a 1998 323is with 115,916 miles. The car has the bigger 2.8l motor due to the last motors head gasket failing. The new motor was put in with a new 5 speed manual tranny about 30k miles ago. The car is lowered on Bavarian autosport adjustable coilovers that were put in about 2000 miles ago along with new euro spec glass hid headlights. The maintenance records I have receipts for are:Spark plugs 10/15/14Brake fluid flush 10/15/14Rear wheel bearing 10/15/14New Power steering rack 10/15/14New Radiator plus coolant flush 10/15/14Both engine mounts 10/15/14Oil change 10/15/14Power steering suction hose 10/15/14Hood shocks 10/15/14New windshield 10/10/14Drilled and slotted front rotors with pads 10/15ABS wheel sensors 11/20/14Oil pan plug 10/24/14I attached photos of records from previous owner. Car was compression tested and all cylinders were 190psi. Minimum specs from bmw are 145psi. Car mechanically is sound. The few things I haven't gotten around to getting fixed yet are the front control arm bushings, coolant level sensor, and windshield washer pump system need to be replaced. I will include with the car the parts needed to fix these problems except for the washer pump. The AC and radio don't work. The wiring for that needs to be looked at. I was quoted 3 hours. I don't know why because that's how I received the car from the previous owner. The radio never gets signal to any stations so it's just static but the speakers do work. The body of the car has brand new M3 trim on the doors and panels. The hoods paint was damaged when the old head gasket blew so it definitely needs to be repainted. The rest of the body has scratches, some minor rust spots, and clear coat peeling on the passenger side door. The interior also needs some love. The headliner sags as most e36 bmws do. The back seats have been removed. I have 3 good condition door panels since the ones on the car are in poor condition. I will include these with the car. The hood latch is broken but I purchased a complete hood latch assembly to replace the previous one which will be included. There may be some other things that I am forgetting but feel free to ask about anything else.
