1968 Chevrolet El Camino Super Sport Beautiful and super clean '68 El Camino Super Sport. Real deal SS car with 138 vin, one of only 5,190 built. Straight and rust free body with slick paint. Fresh drivetrain and far too many new parts to try and list. The car is very original. 396 big block V8 with 4 speed Muncie transmission and 12 bolt posi rear. Motor is supposed to be original to the car but I can not see numbers on the front engine pad to call it numbers matching- so to be safe I am going to say it is correct size and vintage for the car but not #'s matching. It runs and drives like new. It runs cool, starts right up, doesn't smoke, make weird noises etc. It is super strong running and sounds mean. It has dual Flowmaster mufflers with aluminized exhaust (factory manifolds). 4 speed Muncie shifts smooth with a strong clutch. Lights, signals, gauges etc are all working (including the roll-tachometer). Interior is new. The seat was covered in a leatherette material far superior to original and it has a beautiful teak steering wheel. Wiring is clean and not a rats nest. Carpet, weatherstrips etc are all new. All chrome and trim looks new too. New tires mounted on new mag wheels. I also have a set of 15x8 rally wheels with flat caps and brand new tires if you prefer the all stock look. The buyer will be given their choice of wheels they prefer (the second set is available for separate purchase if you want both). Glass is new, windows roll up and down smooth and the doors shut with a simple click. This is not a bondo'd up rattle trap mess. It is a super nice car inside and out.
